There was an exhibition in London recently on the Nova festival. The venue was kept secret with next to no advertising. All to protect the attendees from potential violence or abuse.

I personally can’t see this song as a credible tribute to those killed in the Nova Festival massacre and the bigger crime is its blatant denial of the genocide we’re all aware of.

I don’t get why some Indie rock bloke recently got to remix Welcome To The Pleasuredome. I don’t get why it’s rubbish compared to mixes from 40+ years ago. I don’t get why they didn’t push the Soul Mekanik mixes from about 15 years ago. I don’t get why they have never understood what remixers would complement FGTH and I don’t get Paul Morley. Lots of things I don’t get, I’m at that age.

Long time ago I have booked Paul Murphy for local beer joint where I was working as a…we have a saying: “girl for everything” 
At the end of the set he played Trentemoller’s Wicked Dub. I heard it for the first time, it worked so well, especially 2nd part of the track - jumping dubby rhythm with the melody and vocals of original worked so nice <3 Oh my we drank so much that night 
Gonna put it on USB stick today.

This one is probably controversial and I’m sure folk on here can give multiple examples to prove me wrong, but DJ/producer albums.
I just find most of them to be completely uninspiring and usually padded out with some half baked ‘ambient’ tracks to fill spaces on the tracklist. Even the ones by people who I love to go see DJ and who’s tracks I actively purchase. I just think that for most of them, what they do well just doesn’t translate well to longer format.
Far be it from me to tell anyone who wants to that they shouldn’t make an album, but they shouldn’t!

A wicked dub Indeed:) I really miss the early trentemoller music. His attention to detail and sound design is so good, it absolutely hooked me in and still does.
Restaurants asking for food orders a day/ days ahead of the booking for large groups.
I know there are exceptions like ‘a whole pig’ and specialist menu items but it seems to be a much more common thing nowadays regardless of your order - guess produce costs are part of the problem
Takes all the fun and spontaneity away from eating out though.
If you can’t cook to order- ad hoc, on the day -you’re in the wrong game imo.
Appreciate this is very much a first world problem

On the back of this - if I see an album with more that one feature artist on it, I’m likely to give it a pass. If you can’t make an album on your own steam without relying on other names to buoy it up, well mister, you’d best sit on down and take a ruddy good look at yourself.

Thank you for saying this. Never understood the pedantic fashion of dance genres. When I worked at XLR8R mag it seemed like there was a new microgenre being pitched or alluded to every other week.

I have a question for anyone who has had any contact with DJ Kaos (Jolly Jams).
I do not really follow him, but every now and then his social media posts show up for me. Lately I have gotten the impression that something might be off, although of course it is impossible to know what is actually going on from the outside and I do not want to make assumptions about anyone.
Has anyone here met him in person or worked with him? What was your experience?
