Why you would pay $2000 (and possibly more, long time to go) from Sasha’s auction when you can get the same thing from discogs for £50. Some crazy money gonna get spent on that site and this is only the first tranche. Dare say a lot of the rarer and more valuable stuff still to come…
Reports already of people throwing bottles and pint glasses full of piss around at these Oasis gigs. I remember this happening before at the Stone Roses gig and at Ian Brown gigs (i played the afterparty for one of these)
Why do specifically fans of these acts throw piss over each other?
Is it some sort of tribal manchester ritual?
May I refer the gentleman to the David Stubbs diatribe further up the page…
Yes.
I blame Douglas Coupland
Similarly I can’t stand all this over-egging.
“He compared the plot to a ‘Sexy Baked Potato’. Critics are spiralling, and the Internet has imploded!”
Clickbait bollocks. We’ve hit peak superlative.
I remember piss bottles being thrown in the late 80s by disgruntled metalers at Reading when they started booking a more varied bill.
I think they always did it at Reading & Monsters of Rock
I don’t remember it 1st time 'round with the Roses but certainly seemed deriguer for a small minority at Heaton Park and Finsbury Park shows. Not a fan of it personally
I guess Wet Leg have just had a boost from playing Glastonbury, but why the sudden rush on copies of ‘Alright’?
Sasha fans prompted by his auction?
It is a v good mix ( only a 3 minute building intro instead of a 13 min one that became more regular)
Could it be because it was recently highlighted on Facebook by DJ Billy Bunter?
I don’t know if 89K views could lead to that kind of activity on Discogs though.
I am almost certainly incorrect, but i take this to mean that there’s just less records being sold in general on discogs. If Sasha selling his collection/Billy Daniel Bunter sharing a reel on facebook can generate a bump that is then picked up by discogs and becoming a best seller then maybe best seller now is lower than in previous years?

Good shout.
Or was it the image of the Radio 1 Nightlife 10 chart from March '91 posted by @FreshFor88 on this very forum!?
Why my wife cleans the house the night before the cleaner comes.
I do this… partially shame and partially feeling that the cleaner’s role is cleaning and not tidying
surprised at how bad this is… doesn’t he at least have advisors?
I agree on the tidying up part but this was a deep clean.
