Trevor’s a great radio DJ, always liked his shows.
They’re my soundtrack back from car boot sales. It’s all a bit stale and you get the sense they’re just waiting to be dumped but I like them too.
You are right
Im usually too lazt to navigate Mixcloud to find a show on Soho radio Ive not played
Was listening to GP on 6music one Saturday afternoon when I was pootling around in the kitchen, wife walks in and asks “who’s that dreary bloke rambling over unlistenable music?”
Im pretty sure Don wouldnt move near a pub & then complain about the loud music
Biffy Clyro
Why have Morales schelpt to Leeds for a 1h 20m set ( or Todd for 90m)
I get they have to have a few names on but FFS
Maybe Morales likes Leeds after his 93 gig at the Faversham ( Student pub with a 12am lic ) as they had tetely on keg hand pull
we did the Hacienda in Nottingham park & it felt like Sanchez ( & Tenaglia to a degree) had pre worked / recorded their sets - Flares going off at peaks
Sanchez was woeful / Tenaglia good but…
Armand this year which puts me off further but I’ll go
Average age of that top line up must be mid 60s…
Who’s that beaut?
I’ve had a bit of a rant on here before about Letts. Never actually had a, or was a member of a sound system, nor ever really was involved in that scene in any way, yet because he played a few reggae sets back in the day he espouses to be right there with the leaders of that culture, and yes, he’s pretty impossible to get on with on a personal level.
I have no idea but as you say, what a beaut.
We have a few neighbours that insist on having group singalongs with their guitars and other assorted instruments during house drinks. I usually make myself scarce for those events.
Vinted sellers who mark what there selling as new without tags but in the description write that it’s only been worn once or twice.
Flo’s great. My regular working broadcast.
I used to hear about the bus from the north of Scotland down to T In The Park, which was 4+ hours each way, maybe slightly more if it was from further north. It was a tradition for the entire bus to sing “Wonderwall” for the entire journey… The whole trip. Each way. One song.
I didn’t believe that it could be the case until i finally met a few people who had taken the bus and they confirmed that it was indeed the case.
I asked one of them what that experience was like and he said “It was fine on the way down, but after a weekend of excess it was a bit wearing to have to endure it all the way home”
tbh I’d rather self-anaesthetise with Buckfast on the Glasgow-Dundee Megabus
That poor bus driver
