Reform UK vibes.

Why people keep posting scorching hot controversial takes like this as though its a new development and not the state of things for well over 10 years now.

Not seen the comments but they will definitely include someone who last bought a record in 2002 mentioning vinyl + the sync button.

Chris Massey genius…

Massive cosign. Plus it’s normally a thinly veiled attempt to garner some social medial traction from a DJ who 100% was part of the problem about 15-20 years ago.

Very much playing to the gallery, and that gallery is largely compromised of people who dont go out anymore anyway!

I head Koze play a set at We Out Here a few years ago. Astonishing music. Dunno if it was his though!

My late mother(lifelong feminist) would fight these people in the street, and I don’t mean verbally. Why do super rich people have zero imagination about what their money can do for them?

I wish there was a button i could press to never see these types of posts… I guess it would be the “leave group” on World Of Echoes. It’s such a shame that FK has such a following of moaning, miserable, joy-hating fun sponges.

He DJed at Heaven and Turnmills, pioneer of the absolutely terrible “Nu NRG” techno much beloved by tops off hardcore drug monkeys in the late 90s. Music just as awful and not dissimilar to the EDM rubbish he’s presumably talking about in his post. I mean he is right but there have always been wallies playing shit music to clueless sheep, it’s just all much more public now with social media.

Surely we have some faith in what we do and where we go out? I dont give a shit what people like blu peter says or james hype does. Got Tony Homefiries and faith on friday. Thats all that matters to me. I have a team from over 30 friendship years going. And our kids. Let them post shit.

People need to stop getting annoyed about all these crap influencer EDM DJs. Its literally nothing to do with any underground dance scene. Its its own separate thing. Its like saying Busted ruined punk rock.

It is fun to shake your fist at the sky occasionally though.

I don’t really hang on what anyone says anymore. A few decent tunes and vibe for the grown-ups is all I ask for, whether that’s a city shebeen, Mediterranean temple or rural idyll in arse end of nowhere.

People who walk around in public spaces, phones held flat by their mouth, voicenoting their entire morning like they are making a podcast.

As an aside:
My teenage daughter listens to everything (everything!) on x2 speed and I thinks it because so many people voicenote such banal shit.

I sort of want to do it (if I’m honest) as typing is a pain and I have to stop and stand in a corner to type :joy:
But I know I would waffle for 15 minutes just like everyone else.

I hate people leaving me f-ing two min voice notes about absolutely nothing at all. But I’m guilty of doing it myself :grimacing:

The pricing and packaging of digital music. Don’t get it.

I think there’s a decent conversation to be had about this. It’s so wildly inconsistent, keeps creeping up, and personally I’m increasingly feeling ripped off for trying to actually buy music when practically no one else is. Just me?
