In all seriousness though, jazz is a 100 year old tradition, I’m not sure how most of it can be dismissed. It’s not as if it had its popular moment and then was rendered irrelevant — not until the late 70s at least, which is impressive given phenomena in pop culture tend to last less than 20 years.
