I watched a few clips of the ‘debate’ in utter disbelief. Sad state of affairs indeed
Trump was nailed on to get back in the moment Biden won. The Democrats don’t want to govern, they much prefer being in opposition.
One thing I will say with Trump, at least his every move is meticulously scrutinised, unlike the Democrats who continued with some of Trumps more heinous policies and a few of their own on the QT
Climate is the big one, and any genuine action seems more unlikely by the day. Most ‘green’ parties/activists are deluded by the way forward.
At the same time, in the long view of history, we are just heading into a more normal period of world history. Not exactly an optimistic outlook…
There’s a few hundred million people in the USA. Out of all of them it’s crazy that the 2 choices come down to a choice between a pair of deluded, out-of-touch octogenarians engaged in a farce. The country is cooked and they don’t realise it because the population is (generalisation) looking inward and not recognising the insanity of it.
As is the entire world. Short term/lifetime material wealth will be a priority over the environment until it’s too late. Western democracies are out of their depth and completely broken/unfit just like the NHS is. Nothing will get better until it gets much worse, by which time the rich will all be booked on a one way first class ticket to Mars.
I’d say more and more people are realizing what a farce this is. Both parties don’t exactly deliver.
Yeah I don’t see anyone in power caring a great deal about the environment above maybe some mild policy/greenwashing. This may sound radical but the only thing that’ll save the environment is crazy population control and a major shift to post capitalism. None of these things are something that people want to give up what they have for.
We all talk about green energy but we also all use more and more energy on a personal level, no matter what Tesla we drive or how efficient our hot water systems are.
(edit: and I begrudgingly include myself in the “we” here)
worth a read…
Great read, and I absolutely agree that growing populations generally don’t have anywhere near the impact of richer nations. Was it someone on here that posted that the average Malian citizen uses the same annual amount of power as an English tea kettle?
I’m more thinking of a future when 8 billion becomes 28+ billion and the % of that 28 billion that lives like us lucky few increases by 3. Easy for me to say from my position though, but 100% unfair also - hence why I said “crazy” population control.
It’s ludicrous. If Biden was part of your family and uncle joe offered to say organise xmas dinner the rest of the family would step in and say that’s a nice idea love but i don’t think so.
Yet here we are
Taxes on top? Hope it gets a UK distribution… #cantaffordit
You could probably send that to me and I could send it to you for much less.
Thanks Marc that would be amazing, sadly I think they have region encoded them after a bit of research. Hopefully they do a Euro version, I’m not really bothered about the package, just the remastered Bluray, I’m sure A24 will do it after the ltd edition stuff drops.
Thanks again though! x
Well the invitation stands for any of you. I really don’t mind and I live in New Hampshire so all orders are tax free.
this is just so good…ripping the absolute piss out of that dressing gowned goon…
Yeah, someone posted it the other day. He absolutely nails it. That stare…
Shows how important it is to vote this week in the UK, Reform 3% behind the Conservatives and third in popularity if this poll is to be believed. Mental.
Reform will probably suffer the threshhold problem of FPTP. They might get 14-15% of the vote but spread evenly across too many constituencies and gift the seat to the best placed non-Tory (Labour in the North, Lib Dem in the South).
I doubt personally that Falange will even win Clacton
Your right, just mad to think how many racist, homophobic etc twats there are around.
I’m voting Floaty Bangers Party.
