No vocals at all? Their first released contained the song “White Gloves” which I think was the best song/single released that year. Despite my initial post, I’m far from a hater. Just heard a few tracks from the latest release and was less than impressed. They work best when backing or collaborating with others
I DJ’d at a brunch spot yesterday, i had to come on after a bluesy soul band, so i opened with their single “Maria Tambien” because i figured it would be the best way to link between the band, while keeping the punters engaged enough not to all just stand up and leave immediately. If they weren’t so big i reckon we’d all be sneaking their tracks into sets all the time.
I am going to play this one at a b-boy thing i am doing in a few weeks.

Why nearly every new record I buy is slightly warped?! It’s not affecting the sound but it’s pretty annoying cos of the cost- is it just me being unlucky or have you guys noticed this too?

I’ve noticed this. Thought it was how I was storing the records or something. Not all new records but a fair few. Not the ones which are proper heavyweight vinyl though. It’s mad that records from 30-40 years ago are much better.

Packing the records into sleeves/covers whilst still too warm can do that too…
