IMO Trump should win and accelerate the fall of the US. It’s time to rip the plaster off the failed experiment
A Trump 2.0 would set out to settle scores and would waste no time in trashing the constitution, filling his people everywhere and subverting the law. If you’re a woman, minority, poor, concerned about the climate or someone in Eastern Europe fearful of their future be very afraid. Essentially this contest is democracy v fascism.

True but it also might mean that the states eventually become independent. “Democracy” is dead in the water around the world.
At what cost though? Putin will potentially ride roughshod across Europe with Trump’s tongue rammed so far up his arse. His goal as always been to resetablish the USSR, and he will feel that with that dickhead at the helm, nothing will stop him.
As a country we are going to have to spend billions on defence like nothing we’ve seen since 1939.
It will be a massive step backwards for the entire planet.

it’s the good people trapped in the bad states that i would worry about. if i could get all the good folks out of florida and all the bad folks in, this might appeal.
even then, bad people have good kids all the time, and i hate the idea of kids being stuck in fucked up states . so yeah, this full “states rights” thing will never work. there are plenty of people trapped in areas that suck ass and are only getting worse, and are locked in due to poverty, dependency, lack of opportunity, etc.
i’ve got a relatively small but growing list of places i won’t travel to for work or pleasure - and i’m a tall white guy. my kid is non-binary, and would be unsafe in a lot of places, even with me.

texas, oklahoma and florida at the top of the list.
i’ve met some good people from texas, but some of the absolute worst people i’ve ever had to deal with in my life were from texas, loud and proud. my wife used to go to some art community type stuff in austin and marfa, and she says it’s ok, but from what i can tell the bad outweighs the good in every possible way, for me.

The US is so difficult to generalize though. Like I live in New Hampshire and Exeter, Portsmouth, etc are great but then you go 30 minutes north to Manchester and shit starts going south but then you drive north of there and you get to Loon and it’s pretty fantastic as far people experiences go.
Only place I’ve ever truly felt was a bit fucked was Indiana. Seemed off.
