It’s something I first noticed during the anti-vax demos, these guys aggressively filming for no real reason as though that somehow validates their bollox. Too many bullies out there sadly who really deserve a slap.

Horrific, fair play to the staff God only knows how they put up with this sort of behaviour. I’d never want to work in a customer facing role in any industry.

This brings to mind an experience I had yesterday morning. I was driving up a fairly long and moderately steep hill in Somerset when my car went into ‘limp mode’, meaning that the revs were limited to 1500rpm and it wouldn’t go above 30mph. Coupled with the hill, I honestly thought it was going to stall altogether but there was a double white central line so it was dangerous to stop.
Fortunately there was someone in a flatbed truck behind me, leaning on his horn, presumably cheering me on! I thought for a moment he was attempting to push me up the hill he was so close. He then pulled a dangerous overtake into oncoming traffic, gesturing and shouting as he pulled in front of me and then…tried to slow down to my speed to hinder my progress but clearly couldn’t pull it off.
The name of this shithouse? Smilers Waste Removal! 
I’ll give him a call on Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday, and…

AirB&B… So went through the laborious ID verification, credit card checks and booked a place only to be told 3 days later the host declined our booking. Coupled with the fact they don’t tell you exactly where the place is this seems the most bizarre business model.
I know they probably get young uns booking places for parties, but we’re an ‘old’ couple ffs.
The search continues, sacking off those muppets.

I relish those rare moments when I get to feel like a hellraiser again. Like when I’d still get ID-ed in North America, the wrong side of 30, or was asked to take my cap off, going into a pub in Cockermouth while on a cycling holiday, mistaking me for someone who might shanks someone up.
