What don't you get

Incredible.

Good to see Johnny Marr up there too.

I wasn’t going to comment on this story because I was taught that if you had nothing nice to say then don’t say anything at all. However my hand has been forced by the revelation that Ross Kemp (erstwhile landlord of the Queen Vic) had turned down the chance of being aboard the vessel.
One can only wonder at the coverage the event might have received if he were on board and whether at any point he might have had the chance to shout “get outta my sub!”.

Coupled with a massively conservative personality, which is spreading at a frightening pace.

Elton John :man_shrugging:

I’ve been in Bristol and Cardiff quite a bit and noticed them there the most. Big student population so that probably explains it.

Elton John was always naff and kitsch but he made some killer pop to sing along to in the car as a kid. His ear for a melody was second only to macca imo.

impressive record collection too . I’d seen that old photo of him back in the 70s but they showed an interview last night with him on a sofa surrounded by shelves of vinyl so its still all there by the look of it (assuming it was his of course)

He’s another one I couldn’t possibly ever imagine listening to :grimacing:

yep, pretty garbage back then, worse now

People who walk down the middle of the road as if it was the pavement.

They running between cars?

I cycle, but, yeah, they just walk down the middle of the road like they own it, when there is a perfectly good pavement just next to them. Lots of them. It drives me mad.

That’s just annoying on so many levels. Probably the first to get mardy if you cycled on the pavement.

I just spent a week in London(first time back for a long time)I couldn’t find a single bar that has good DJ’s. I asked here, record shops, some people I met , friends etc. It seems that decent bar’s with decks and DJ’s who know how to play to a bar are not a thing here. I could go to quite a big handful in Sydney/Melbourne and hear excellent tunes played by experienced DJ’s most nights of the week, including the Sunday arvo sessions we do ourselves. Seems silly.

People that only seem to be friends with or socialise with high profile people. Never liked it and to still see people of my vintage with that mindset, just yuck really.
