Yup, that’s my experience.
My mother, who had advanced Dementia, went into an NHS Hospital with pnuemonia which was successfully treated within a week or so, she then had to wait for a bed to become available in a care home whilst she was assessed & rehabilatated.
The bed never came & she was left in the hospital & went downhill quickly, in large part due to neglect & ineptitude of some hospital staff.
I saw some nurses who shouldn’t be in the job quite frankly, not just with my mother but with other patients on the different wards.
Basic stuff was not being done.
Me & my sister visited my mother everyday, alternating days, for weeks on end & what we saw scared us.
I don’t wanna grow old in this country & have to rely on the NHS for care.
America’s healthcare system isn’t amazing by any stretch but I don’t have any issue calling an ambulance or getting a bed in a hospital if I need one, sounds grim in the UK.
Found one in a box at work, boss is storing some stuff for someone… I think this one will come to a festival or two this summer.
When you think there must be some underground ace shit happening somewhere that I’m too old to know about…
maybe this isn’t it, but still, 30 odd million views…
Edit: Not many redeeming qualities, just weird, just to clarify.
“Not Going Out” running for 12 seasons. It’s not even remotely funny.
Yeah agreed. Man Down is quite amusing though!
Yeah, heavy on the hair and make up department, but light on the any good department. Smacks of the kind of people that used to go to burning man.
I guess it’s traditional Norse viking folk music. It’s all about the chants before battle.
NGL, i actually think this is kinda dope, love those tribal drums and the drones.
I would probably not be putting it on at a party unless it was getting a bit weird and eyes wide shut-esque.
Wait until you discover Dungeon Synth…
Zero 7, for me the beginning of the shift from off your face come down psychedelic trippy ambient, to commodified ‘chill out’ lounge bar hotel lobby lift muzak.
Goat ( who I absolutely love) must be on to this shit.
Yeah. They pretty much based their entire first album on that one Air track La Femme d’argent (which in fairness is a pretty huge rip of Serge Gainsbourg’s Histoire de Melody Nelson album)
Not weird enough, more like.
Yeah, thats what I get.
Record Store Day
soooo much unnecessary garbage.
RSD (as an organization) shows up at a perfectly good party, makes an unholy amount of noise and heat, eats up all the resources, and then insists that they’re the reason every one came in the first place.
Juno’s “junoplayer” it’s a 90’s dinosaur that has an honorary place in the list of things that shit me to tears.
I genuinely think that’s one of the best pop songs ever written, masterpiece.
