Oh no, that’s sad. Imagine having to clear out the space.
Great that isn’t it? Buckley’s got a good memory considering the excess
Really impressive memory. Some of the very precise details about his early clubbing experiences and the people he hung out with were very specific. I can’t remember that sort of stuff from a week ago! Though he did do a half decent job in implicating himself for quite a few “shenanigans” back in 89. Interesting theory about the pills never being the same again after the end of 89/beginning of 90.
I really enjoyed this. @Phil does a great job of keeping this going. Made me want to buy all of the Nu Northern and La Torre records.
it’s a long debate but this really is a meeting of two mindsets
the ladder climbers who leave the ladder down v the ladder climbers who pull it up…
Many might see both of these guys as the enemy of late.
Interesting interview (despite the sycophant in the room)
I assume you’re referring to Lowe?
That’s why I won’t watch it, can’t bear him, such an obviously fake, insincere, ingratiating sycophant.
That’s how he used to be on Radio1 bitd anyway, don’t supposed he’s changed much since it got him the big money move to LA.
Indeed.
Yeah i can’t stand him for the same reason
I liked what Brian had to say. Lovely chap.
Soooooo 80s
Yes.
I think in his own mind he’s on their level, that he’s offering the viewer/listener some insight that other journalists can’t match- when in fact the artists he speaks to have more talent in their little finger than the has in his entire body.
Reminds me of a lot of people that I did a media degree with at university -that thought they were somehow imbued with the talent of the people they admired- it was very rarely the case.
Maybe HF!
I thought that was the coolest advert ever when I was 15. Balearic!
