This is really good on Musique Concrète and the roots of Revolution #9 (intense bearded analysis as ever on Polyphonic haha)
Im saving that to watch
Sorry if we’ve already had it, but it’s new to me. I think.
Edit: Here’s the YouTube link:
Saw him years ago supporting The Fall. Caught him chatting up my ex-GF outside. I mean, fair enough he was pretty old even then but she couldn’t lie, she said he had the requisite charm and chat!
Listened to his appearance on the Adam Buxton podcast recently, a few bits had me proper loling on the train
watched a couple of these episodes on the AD channel the other night. really enjoyed the NY public library one. never been to the library before, but i want to go, now. well shot and beautiful.
Goes on a bit but ultimately very interesting
Worth sticking with
It has the Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound on 3rd floor with listening booths and temp access to loads of vinyl/CDs etc. Never been either but wud like to.
This is pretty special
I bought that on DVD from him years ago. Was great to see E-Mix in full flow again
Not seen this before - Molly Dineen directed, who went on to define the looser documentary style of the 80s and 90s - no wonder its good.
