Loads of noise recently about Jack Lowden being the next Bond. He’s great but I dont see it personally

I cannot see his face and not think of Simon Pegg. To be fair, they both have that kind of decent, embarrassed Englishman in a tricky spot face. Bond should go back to the original books and get someone deeply unpleasant, manipulative, immoral and deceitful to play him.

I just read that Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the new Bond series. That should be interesting enough.

Yeah same. We really enjoyed this too! Slightly tainted when we told friends about how good it was who then told us about the Lily Allen / David Harbour stuff and the reason for their marriage breakdown.

I just watched the reunion / legacy thing. Forgot how good it was. Along with Sopranos it ushered in the age of prestige TV

I did some work for the director of episode 2 years ago. Very energetic and eccentric can do sort of chap. That episode is one of the finest depictions of warfare I think I’ve seen.
I visited Omaha beach this summer which was incredibly humbling. The scale of the D-Day invasion is pretty staggering.

The Invite was good fun.
I missed Toni Erdmann when it’s came out. Yesterday I caught it on TV. Amazing emotional slow paced movie. Great performance by Sandra Hüller, one of the best actresses out there and one of the best birthday party scenes on film

Can’t get that to embed, but Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed was much better than the title and anything I’d read about it suggested. Keeps it’s sense of humour, the lead actress is amazing, and the soundtrack is a bit bunker NY-esque which adds tension and a bit of fist pumping to proceedings.
