Watched “Zola” last night which was decent - “Spring Breakers meets Pulp Fiction, as told by Nicki Minaj”
Also “Pig” with Nicholas Cage which was surprising quite good. The story of a man and his truffle pig.

Went to see the Cannes award winner on the big screen yesterday. Extreme, almost grotesque movie. Lots of references to Cronenberg’s Crash and The Imposter story and documentary. Acting was great, but bit of a weird pic for the main prize, although I haven’t seen the other contenders.
Pretend It’s a City (Netflix)
Docu-series on Fran Lebowitz. It’s fantastic
Finally got round to watching this last night. Quite possibly the most bonkers story ever. Talk about balls of steel.
Like Operation Odessa on steroids
Loved this. Storyville never fails as a series.
Loved it. Scorsese’s laugh though?!
Not seen that. From what I remember the reviews weren’t great so I didn’t bother. Zombie comedy is a difficult one to pull off especially when it’s up against staples like Shaun of the dead and zombieland. Did you ever see the BBC production ‘In The Flesh’?
It doesn’t ring any bells.
Yeh so good. I’d seen a couple of them before but watched the rest after your recommendation at the start of this thread. Thanks for the tip.
If any fans of bonkers documentary stuff haven’t seen Wild Wild Country on Netflix, i really recommend that.
Oooh this looks good.
@bellio yes so many good ones.
Chewing the Fat is great too
Ooh no, thanks for the heads up.
Watching and listening to the thunder and lightning. Love it.
Just watched Red Blood Sky on Netflix. Forget snakes on a plane, vampires on a plane is where it’s at. Maybe
Mark Ronson doc on BBC4.
Lots of famous people telling us how great Mark is, he seems to have lead a very privileged life, despite that I still find him likable.
Enjoyed this
Well that was better than expected. Quite enjoyed it
The White Lotus - well scripted drama/comedy set within a Hawaiian Resort with Steve Zahn, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Jennifer Coolidge, Molly Shannon and more.
It’s being released weekly which is frustrating as it’s very bingeworthy - romance, drugs, petty spite, teen angst, nuanced characters etc.
Fans of Schitts Creek will enjoy this.
