What are you watching?

Think it was mentioned on this thread already but I Just watched Babyteeth. Beautifully crafted, funny and emotional with great, understated performances. Superb!

recent recommendations tv wise:

Mr. Inbetween - top quality Aussie crim activity (grab a cheeky download via VPN if you’re outside of Oz)
DAVE - Season 3 of Lil’ Dicky’s self depreciating rap shenanigans
Puberty Blues - Series 1 & 2 - more Aussie fare, easy to watch drama/comedy focused on teen tribulations around Cronulla’s beaches, set in the late 70s.
Time - the grim and gritty Stephen Graham/Sean Bean prison drama mini series…farkin’ ell mate, do not wanna go to prison after seeing this.

Ha I just asked my 18 month old what she wanted to watch when I clicked onto iPlayer and she pointed out ‘High’. Erm maybe not.

Rewatching the 1979 serialisation of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Obviously somewhat dated but utterly fantastic

Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime.

Ok, I was skeptical at first and I doubt there are many Clarskon fans on the TP forum. But this was surprisingly entertaining. One reviewer said that they’ve learnt more about farming on this show than they’ve ever done on Countryfile and they might have a point. Clarkson’s relationship with farmhand Kaleb is actually quite touching.

Just finished the second season of Baptiste on iPlayer. Lots of twists and turns. Gripping stuff. Not as good as Season 1 though.

Just watched Killing Escobar that was on the other night… Group of British mercenaries tasked with taking out the aforementioned Pablo at the request of the equally ruthless Cali cartel. Interesting story and one I wasn’t familiar with. Format of the programme was a bit odd, they had testimonies from some of the main bods… Even had video cam footage of a lot of the trip from 1989 but bizarrely interspersed it with snippets of acted scenes which for me made it a bit naff. Worth a look though especially if you enjoy the Narcos thingy (was Escobar’s knitwear really that bad??!). Spoiler alert: they didn’t succeed.

Couple of weird ones for me as I don’t really like them, but finished Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon and enjoyed it. And been enjoying Gordon Ramsay’s new series on C4.

Feel a bit dirty tbh

Yeah, the acted cut-scenes really ruined that programme for me.

Three episodes into ‘This Way Up’ and really liking it so far. Great to see Ricky Grover making an appearance who was on excellent form in ‘Getting On’ which if you haven’t seen already is a must watch.

Still Game.

Silly Scottish comedy on Netflix that’s my new go-to when I can’t decide what to watch.

Just halfway through the second series after watching the first in 2 days. Really enjoying it but have just been reading that it is a spin off from a series called Z Nation, which reviews say is a comedy which is confusing. Is it any good?
