Time was good but a bit too intense for a sunday evening. got the chills when I walked past my kettle
I’ve only watched one episode so far. Probably watch 2&3 tonight
Watched Darren Aronofsky’s Mother! This week. WTF. Am none the wiser.
Yes it not like Darling Buds of May. Classic Sunday evening TV
Rewatching This Is England '90 - Shane Meadows has that knack of bringing on the shits and giggles set to a killer soundtrack before dropping you right in it without a moment’s notice into some really heavy emotional moments. Great acting, particularly at the dinner scene at Lol and Woody’s when they reveal a dark secret to friends and family.
Watched it at the cinema and had exactly the same reaction. I find with most of his films you need to watch them a few times. Going to give it another go this weekend.
Me and the missus just finished all 6 seasons of Dawson’s creek
. An episode a day during our lunch break. Ffs. Could’ve learnt a language in that time.
Italy v Turkey at the Euros
Absolutely buzzing for this with Scotland finally making a major tournament for the first time since I was 18.
I’m also supporting Turkey.
:tr:
Italy are bossing this and looking very good. We need a football thread.
Italy always usually rise to the occasion in tournaments, great result that against a team who looked good in qualifying
No no nooooo
Nothing in the world more boring than football talk. Watch the game, enjoy it, don’t speak a word of it and go to bed until the next one.
totally agree - there’s probably many forums out there forbanal football chat - take it there.
Guys that’s the beauty of separate threads on the forum. The football chat is contained in its own thread and no one need enter if they don’t wish to.
Same for dogs/trainers/clothes/fragrance etc. Each to their own and we all join hands on the music / balearic topics that unite us.
Let’s continue to appreciate our differences!

There was no thread before I typed my tongue in cheek reply. I like football a bit. Have played at semi pro level as does my lad now (I am actually suffering for it right now as my foot is in agony which is a long standing issue I have because of playing).
I just don’t like it as much anymore. I have no infinity with the modern football player/owner/soulless pundit whatsoever hence why I am over it. I can guarantee that a fair few professional footballers I have met have been very dull and massive cry babies including a well known and currently popular pundit who is one of the grossest people I have met. Pains me to see him on TV so much ha. I have actually had a pro ask what the payment is to kick off a charity game I arranged.
Now there is a thread for it all is solved.
I still think there is nothing more boring in the world than football chat mind. Even when I played the game ha. My wife always laughs when I do sometimes watch a game because I tend to fall asleep after 10 minutes.
I don’t follow the game anymore generally but absolutely love major tournaments. I’m quite enjoying dipping into that thread so far.
Please don’t say that’s Micah Richards, i like him.
What do you mean by gross?
went to the cinema yesterday for the first time in over a year. it was actually pure bliss. hardly anyone in there, nice air conditioning to get out the heat, a few beers during the film. oh watched quiet place 2. decent sequel but not as strong as the first one.
Nah not him. Just a horrible, arrogant, big headed tossbag basically ha
It’s probably already been mentioned but ‘Time’ on the BBC was a brilliant watch. Sean Bean was quality as was most of the cast . Couldn’t imagine having to go to prison, must be a really intimidating environment to survive in.
