What are you watching?

Gonna be watching this sometime this week, never heard of it before but picked up a DVD copy for 50p in a local charity shop.

Mesmerising. Probably should’ve gone in the Slow TV thread, tbh.

I love this site. Incredibly soothing.

I’m enjoying Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams on tour available on iplayer. He takes the disfunctional lads from Preston to India to play cricket. Good easy going feel good telly and quite moving in parts. Even Freddie gets a lump in his throat at times.

Good to see him back on the telly too. His accident must have been horrific.

Watched this last night after reading a piece in The Guardian about it, made for $800 and has has such a good reaction the writer/director/star now has work in Hollywood lined up.

Just caught up to this, watching with our FIFA obsessed teenager. Lovely storytelling, can’t wait to see where it goes.

Colin from Accounts is back! I rewatched the last episode of the first series as it had been a while, and the second season picks up from there - it’s just such a good show. (I also deliberately avoided reading the usual Guardian 5 star review, as somehow those ruin the enjoyment a bit).

We smashed through the first couple of episodes of S2 last night too. Most enjoyable. Some proper laugh out loud moments

Surreal and funny . I don’t watch much comedy these days but Craig Robinson makes me laugh

Terminator Zero wasn’t terrible. Childish, naive and takes it’s self too seriously in that lofty anime way, but not terrible.

My son wanted a decent horror to watch with his girlfriend last night. I recommended the Mist. It went down well. A final scene that’ll stay with you forever.
We watched the Weird Al Yankovic film, which is pretty awful in a lot of ways but seemingly doesn’t care which is why it kind of gets away with it. A miscast tall Madonna was an issue for me, but probably deliberate. Suitably weird.

This is now on Disney+ in the UK. Lots of footage new to me and a reminder of how this cultural explosion happened not with 18/19/20 yr olds but 14/15 yr olds. Sure it will take a lot of you right back as it did me.

Thanks, I was midly interested in that but never been a big fan of anime so will probably give it a miss if its not up to scratch

There’s an animated Tomb Raider series coming to Netflix next month, hoping thats decent. All screen adaptions so far have been atrocious

KAOS - 2 episodes in. Hasnt grabbed me yet but Jeff Goldbum is really good as a god. Basically playing himself.

James Franco obvs a dick but as a show, incredible.

Incredible show. Still think about it. Maggie Gyllenhaal was incredible, too.
