Fair enough! That’s the beauty of film, we all get touched by it differently.
These are the ones Carmy wears in the show, they do a navy, maybe not the exact one but didn’t get a really good look. Either way they are great quality, been wearing them for years.
Oops wrong thread
That happens from time to time lol
While we quite enjoyed the 1st series of Interview With The Vampire, season 2 has completely blown us away.
Not sure when its broadcast in the UK, but its been on AMC so is available.
Last episode on Sunday - can’t wait!
Pretty sure son of a stag have just got these (or blue owl have, remember seeing the email)
Son of a Stag usually have a good selection, but Merz have a bewildering (at least to me) range, the 215 is heavier weight and worth the extra, but best to check the code if anyone in the market.
If we were discussing this in character would be more like
Fuck you!
FUCK you!
Fuck YOU!
etc
I’m watch the Acolyte with my 10 year old son. Honestly, it’s great watching it with someone who the show it’s probably intended for. Loads of “woah”, “that’s so cool” and “I knew it was him!!!”. I look forward to these little 40 minutes with my guy so much.
I know what you mean . It could have started at ep 2, ep1 didn’t feel necessary…
It has created its own tropes pretty quickly (the shouty fuck your arguments aren’t a huge surprise for example/ the overly earnest staff)
Don’t get me wrong I love it for the most part, just hoping that the stylised elements aren’t relied upon at the expense of plot development. Curious where they will take it this time around.
Thought it was great, The Bear. Still top notch (so far).
Had a feeling the “artistry”, so to speak, of S3E1 would be polarizing. I thought it was great. Emotionally numbing in contrast to some episodes, largely by design I think. I thought it was a great visual depiction of a mental/anxiety feedback loop, tracing Carmy’s mental state in the present right back to the origins of the show and where it all starts for him. Naturally, that’s going to be lost on people who aren’t looking for it/bringing that to it and the timeline jumping is going to confuse, surely. That said, I enjoyed it.
Episode 2 was more standard fare, yes. Great start. All I’ve seen so far as I like to take it slow. I don’t doubt they’ll stick the landing.
I agree, but also FUCK YOU!
I looked across at my partner in this episode (we’ve both worked in kitchens many years ago) and she was wide-eyed and half hiding behind a pillow
S3E1 was great - the use of music was stellar. I found it way more engaging and effective than everybody’s beloved Seven Fishes episode which I found too overwrought and slightly annoying.
Really not one for horror-ish films but decided with my partner that we’d give something a go over the summer holidays. I do like stuff like A Cure For Wellness, Killing of a Sacred Dear etc. The kind that’s more the psychological thriller type.
Any recommendations?

The ritual?
Yes! That one too
I really like that film. For me it totally nails that 80’s aesthetic. And genuinely quite creepy without relying on too many jump scares
