Not looking good at all
Just watched the first episode of season 3… pretty pretty good.
Episode One: ‘Stir Crazy’
(Sorry)
Hammered
Was impressed with the first episode, but my 2 main takeaways were:
- Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross are even more peerless than I thought
- I need to find the blue t-shirt from the Noma scenes
The Bear 3
Guardian gave it 3/5, watched first two episodes, thought they were great, shot so well. Ignore the Guardian. Intense as ever, not sure I could binge the lot like I read Carmie did.
Maybe I had one too many spritzers last night but I thought episode 1 was a masterpiece!
Yeah me too, bit trippy flashback, we got a new telly so seems extra good.
Haha I was thinking the same but wasn’t brave enough to post that… loved the music
There’s a really good series on Catalan tv at the moment about the dark practices of the Spanish music industry in the 80s/90s (it is subtitled in English although auto generated…)
Hundreds of trashy mix CDs were churned out which sold millions across the country and then mafias moved in…
We watched 1 and 2 last night and thought they were so good!! Ep1 was beautiful, so well done.
This looks really interesting! Reminds me a bit of buying bootleg CDs from kiosks in 90s Russia. I dug a few out the other day and incredibly they still play great.
Watching something on TV about the terracotta soldiers and all I can think about is the genius of Ken M…
Made my day
Space years is my favourite…
Man’s a legend.
Just reading through them made me chuckle… My Mrs started laughing while we were watching the terracotta thing earlier thinking about the comments and we couldn’t think of his name, she said Ken hom lol quick Google and we found him…
Looks like I’m in the minority that found ep 1 of the bear about as exciting as going to the post office. Bit too indulgent and over the top for me, but I get that it tells a story and I guess it did that effectively.
Ep 2 was great and I look forward to the rest!
I watched it last night and whilst I can see what you mean about indulgence (at one point, I daydreamed of a parody along the lines of Master chef and the Pineapple hedgehog) certain moments took my breath away, much as they did in the first two seasons. The fleeting glimpses of the Seven Fishes episode still pack a punch even after several viewings. I just think it’s very well done.
Btw I hated Eric.
