Not sure if anyone has caught Suburra on Netflix? Italian based in/around Rome; church, local gangsters, politicians and organised crime all vying for a piece of the action. I really liked it - good characters although Samurai (the Mafia’s man in Rome) had a touch of the Wallace & Gromit whilst on his scooter. Series 1&2 good - 3 for me wasn’t quite up there especially as one of 3 main characters had been killed off.
Really liked it. Thought Gomorra was better though…even though it’s basically the same thing just set in Naples not Rome.
Finding Jack Charlton (BBC)
Brilliant new documentary, whether you like football or not.
A team episode with Hulk Hogan… Think it’s a good time to go to bed.
The ending is mental!
An Australian movie The Dry I’ve been hearing some good reviews about…
Latey Laterson here again. Having completed The Terror, I’m cheering myself up with the whimsical comedy stylings of Chernobyl. Jeeeeeesus
dope live clip of one of my fave Deee Lite tunes. Dig those Italo keys and Bootsy’s bubbling bass!
Yeah love that tune
Always… Is it the b side of groove is in the heart? I have it with what few records I kept
Just finished zerozerozero on Sky and really enjoyed it
Started watching the American version of Shameless over the weekend, watched a few episodes on ch4 over the years but never a full season, plan to watch all nine seasons.
I prefer it to the original which went off the boil after about 3 or 4 series for me
I really liked the American one… Fiona, gotta love Fiona holding that house together…
Yeah absolutely, she’s the heart of the show
Copland.
The Dissident (Amazon)
New documentary on the horrific murder of journalist Jamal Kashoggi.
Highly recommended
Easy, but not cheesy viewing. Stories of people and their clothing.
The inspirational Tina Turner documentary. What a lady!
