Just finished it last night. What a show and yes Hickey was played very well.
Watct 24 hrs in police custody the one about the guys bringing gear from Holland to UK in camper van hire , big operation but the scene when the so called main guy ringing his son on the day he was charged it was his sons 6th birthday I think, pulled at the heart strings a bit…
Was that last night’s episode?
I meant to watch that but forgot, i watched the episode last week, when that nasty little scrote thankfully got his comeuppance at the end.
Ah okay, i’ll have to watch it on catch up when i get time
Finally watched Chernobyl. Cracking bit of telly. Highly recommended for those like me that are late to the party. Jared Harris is brilliant as always.
Spoiler alert at end of the trailer… But how they got footage to charge them was unbelievable
Jaguar Palace!
Watched these two on Netflix this week. Very different films but both excellent. Highly recommended.
Babyteeth was brilliant - Aussie and UK cinema has always been good at evoking real raw human drama, always a welcome relief to a lot of formulaic major US studio output.
Balls deep in the Terror now after everyone’s recommendation. It’s brilliant. Love the way it’s all slightly theatrical (sets etc) but has a real sense of creeping dread and despair. Jared Harris certainly inherited some of his old man’s acting chops. Bravo!
Really enjoyed that Les Miserables film.
I’m sure you’ve seen it already but I re-watched La Haine the other day after watching Les Miserables. Stone cold classic.
Yes, I’m a big La Haine fan. A Prophet is another great French film I would highly recommend if you haven’t seen it.
Vincent Cassel is a fine actor.
I also enjoyed Mesrine, in two parts…
Yes to A Prophet. Great movie.
Started to watch this last night, really good… Episode 3&4 tonight
Loved Godless. Put off watching it for years. It’s not your average Western.
Godless or Halt and Catch Fire?
Halt and catch fire
I finished Hiri/Gaji last night and it had me laughing out loud and then weeping in the space of about 10mins. I thought it was extraordinarily good. It’s on Netflix.
