Watched Triangle of Sadness last night and was really underwhelmed by it.

I enjoyed it but it was too long by far!

i’m not like super “pro-andor” guy but watching that kind of messed up my interest in mandalorian.

i watched the first episode of the new season and now i’m super bothered by every fart joke and cutesy cameo. i just don’t care anymore. there’s been a couple of nights where i’m like “oh yeah, i should catch up with that show” but instead i just go to bed.

Andor was more gritty and that worked to its advantage for sure. If the Mandalorian is going to go on forever then it’s bound to lose its shine. What sucks is they made the totally unnecessary Boba Fett series and wasted what would have been 3 good Mandalorian episodes there.

We did too, didn’t even finish it, don’t feel on the same page as the rest of the world sometimes. Don’t even start me on Everything everywhere… :man_shrugging:

Everything everywhere was a total mess for me, just didn’t work at all. I just don’t get the plaudits

I’ve tried to watch it twice and gave up around 30 minutes in. I’m told it gets going around the hour mark but its too late its already lost me

I know, felt like a stoner version of a Nolan film, actually that doesn’t sound too bad thinking about it.

Watched this last week. An interesting 3-parter about how the dad of a student moves into their halls of residence after being released from prison. Proper brainwashing shizzle. On Disney+

Mare of Eastown is great

Same!

Enjoyed it in places but had to watch in two sittings. Not sure why it won so many awards but I still dont get the hype surrounding succession which I have liked and will continue to watch but doesn’t grab my attention due to the overly complex dialogue that always feels like it’s trying too hard to be clever.

Yeah the dialogue in succession sounds to me like what Hollywood people think rich people sound like. It’s got a veneer of forced terminology that doesn’t sit right with me.

Those of you who enjoy a nice John LeCarré type spy thing will do well to watch The Old Man on FX (or wherever it plays in your country’s streaming services). Jeff Bridges is great but John Lithgow steals the show.

Also, “The Bear” on FX is very very good.

We watched the whole thing again before Season 4 started and we found it a lot funnier the 2nd time round. Much more comedy and parody of what people imagine these families to be like, is what we took from it anyway.

Two good shouts there - it was a while ago but think Old Man left the possibility of another series?
