What are you watching?

Good choices, I can bore the arse of anyone about the Sopranos! First few seasons are (relatively) light-hearted bar the odd ‘wacking’ then it seems to get progressively darker. Difficult to pick a favourite episode, Sopranos Home Movies has a real air of menace to it but it’s quite late on.

Peep Show - re-watching that myself at the moment too. Work of genius. Super Hans, what a character he’s got some brilliant lines. Geoff is funny too in a cringey way.

I just started watching The Sopranos. Incredible so far and I love how the darkness is always there with Tony, even when he’s being light-hearted you know it could kick off.

SuperHans lives down here as you might know. Spotted him out & about a few times

Absolutely loving The Last of US, but I haven’t watched this week’s yet!!

I rewatched The Sopranos during lockdown, same for me in that I hadn’t seen it since it first came out. It was great watching again, it had been so long it was like watching not for the first time. It’s a lot funnier than I remembered!

Tokyo vice - 5 episodes in. It’s ok. Not blowing me away. Some of the acting is a bit ropey and side stories are a bit meh.

Paulie Walnuts throwing a chair at the ghosts at the seance is pure comedy genius.

Rewatching true detective season 1 for the third time. Stellar stuff.

Last season too :frowning:

Good decision I think. Assuming the last season is as good as the previous three it’ll go down as one of the all time greats I reckon.

Yeah, I read an interview with the writer who said it was that or spin it off into a regular series. Good choice I think.

Probably one for the Small Claims Court thread but having never watched an episode of Succession (yet, we don’t have Sky), I am currently undertaking all the joinery work in ‘Tom’s’ new house. I haven’t met him yet but am told he is a very lovely man. I have met his wife and she is absolutely delightful.
Haven’t heard anything other than good things about the programme.

one of my all time favorite shows, Party Down, has just started a third season after a decade off the air
so far it’s holding up quite well but if you haven’t seen it, the first two are incredible. very dry sarcastic comedy about a bunch of wannabe actors working in catering while they pursue their dreams

Is he still married to Keeley Hawes?

Oh, wow - loved that show. Even if it’s only half as good will definitely be watching! Thanks.

Next series is Jodie Foster in Alaska - sounds like a winner already.

Didn’t know about that. Sounds good. Hope it’s better than season 2 and 3 which were a bit disappointing in comparison to season 1
