Triangle of Sadness is decent if a bit overlong

Finally started the final series of Atlanta tonight. Almost reluctantly so as I’ll be so sad to end it.

There’s been some great TV over the past few years but nothing has mixed great writing and surrealism in quite the same way for me. It has such a unique identity and it’s so great to look at too. Super talented people at work there. :sparkling_heart:

100% an absolute gem. It really has Ben brilliant. I wonder how popular is been in the US. It’s certainly been under the radar in the UK.

Same in my household. Although my kid is 4 and a half now and he’s started to understand things with plot and story so I’m gently introducing longer, live action stuff to break up the 10 minute animated Paw Patrol type fest we usually have to endure

I got him some Star Wars lego for Xmas so I’m building up to showing him the movies. That will be a joyous day :pray:t2:

Can’t. Wait.

Why do you love it so much Joe? (just interested)

I think my son’s into this, it’s a game isn’t it?

The game was/is fantastic. I know of a few people who’ve cried playing it from emotion, it’s a deep story. Reviews suggest the TV series will do the game justice.

It’s a HBO adaption of the 2013 Playstation game, widely considered to be one of the best games of all time for its focus on character, story and emotional elements. There are some genuinely jaw dropping moments throughout the game and the ending is absolutely knock out. If the adaption stays faithful to the game, which it seems they have this will be some watch. The guy that wrote Chernobyl for HBO has co developed it so we’re in good hands

Top answer. Thank you. Sounds like one to watch. I worked for a Playstation blog called Three Speech once. I didn’t have a clue what was going on as I was never a gamer. Sony asked for me to be removed as I asked too many questions as I clearly didn’t have a clue.

Yes @Apiento fully agree with @Joe here - this is essential viewing if they pull it off

For me, the original game and its sequel are the best narrative experiences in gaming (RDR2 in close second). The overall story, world-building, supporting characters - it’s all stellar.

Super hyped that a wider audience gets to enjoy
