Watched Tenet as family movie last night. Blank looks all round. Watched a Youtube explainer vid imnedeately afterwards and still not much the wiser.

Oh! is that what it was? I kept asking for it to be turned up. My wife said “they’re mumbling’. We sounded like our parents. I suppose that added to the sense of disconnection.

I kinda hate to admit this, but a few weeks ago we somehow caught an episode of The Wall game show on Saturday Night BBC1. I can’t remember the last time I watched anything apart from maybe the news on BBC, but we ended up glued to it and have watched it every week since!
It’s a pretty good format and to his credit Danny Dyer is a total natural at presenting. Stupid/funny banter. Highly entertaining!

Tales From The Loop on Amazon. Not much happens but it’s quite imaginative and well made with a lean towards the dark side. A decent enough effort anyway. Better than expected.

Did anyone see Devs on iPlayer? The lead character wasn’t cast well but the premise of it was intriguing.

Just not a good film by any stretch. Saw Interstellar last year at the cinema because I thought it’d be great on the big screen. Not into that either.

Thought Interstellar was wank. Unintentionally hilarious though, the Channel 4 ident robot running through the waves, don’t think me and the missus were supposed to piss ourselves laughing in the cinema!

We’re watching it with our teenager. Gripping stuff!
Being a bit sentimental I quite liked it. But, again, the sound mix made it really hard to watch on television. Alternating between very quiet dialogue and incredibly loud space noises. Had to constantly adjust the volume.
Sentimentality comes with age and responsibility I reckon. I felt the same. Ever so slowly becoming less cynical.
