What are you watching?

Just started it. Sucked in already.

Just finished The Terror, loved it, last couple of episodes got a bit grim, thought the claustrophobia and helplessness was tangible though was I the only one who thought the CGI bear was unnecessary? could still have been great without it.

I watched Cherry the new movie on Apple TV.

Got the kid from Spider-Man in it but despite that it’s a pretty decent movie about love/war/heroin addiction/bank robbery.

His Begbie style ‘tache at the end is laughable though.

Currently:

  • Onto the fifth out of the six Adam Curtis ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head: An Emotional History’ docs
  • Re-watching The Sopranos with my girlfriend who hasn’t seen it before (nearing the end of season 5)
  • This Country (just watched the first season on iPlayer as finally have a decent VPN for here in New Zealand)
  • Framing Britney Spears (wasn’t keen, but was interested when I heard it was a New York Times production)
  • Lots of test cricket (Aus vs Ind, Ind vs Eng being the highlights)

Yeah, the bear was shite and not needed. The slow loss of minds was/is much more frightening/real

Started watching Behind Her Eyes on Netflix with that Bono’s bairn.
Half way through episode 3, I turned to my wife and said “this is going to be shit, what do you reckon?” she agreed so we went online to see what the twist was (there’s always a twist) and fuck me, all I can say is that I saved myself 3.5 hours of my life.

Started ditching stuff constantly now even if I am multiple episodes deep. Life’s too short. Only the good stuff will do!

LMOE is freaking hilarious and ended far too soon. Good stuff for real.

Started watching the Spike Lee adaptation of the Park Chan-Wook sth Korean masterpiece “Old Boy”. I’m 35 mins in and as far as American remakes go, it’s pretty pretty good, probably cos I dig Josh Brolin and Spike Lee is no slouch either.

There is a second series. Its called Terror: Infamy

Not linked to the first series, rather an anthology story written by the same guy. Assume we will get it here eventually

Thank you for the confirmation that I am not as crazy as I thought

Yeah the google searches always say two seasons
