i loved this, from the shouty beginnings it grew into my favourite series of the year to date.

Watched the first episode of The Peripheral on Amazon prime. Very slick cyberpunk from people behind Westworld based on a William Gibson novel, has promise!

regular season NBA is back, and i’m a dedicated league pass subscriber so i’ve seen like 20 basketball games in the last 6 days. my blazers are 3-0 (and the lakers are 0-3) so basically i couldn’t be happier.

Sensationalists: The Bad Girls and Boys of British Art on iplayer

Brit Art in the 90s and beyond. Loads of great footage from that era. Recommended.

Watched it the other night :astonished: the skinny young lad had some weapon…

Unbelievably disproportionate wasn’t it?

Yes very strange. Even in special pants, 10 steps and it’s out… Looked half his weight to be honest :astonished:

South Africa v Bangladesh T20 World Cup, currently rain delayed and Graeme Swann is on the TV now so I’m feeling murderous.

Wally Badarou in 1990 in Compass Point and in the studio. Superb.

‘Heaven Knows What’, early Safdie brothers film. Best thing I’ve seen this year. Ridiculously raw - more just a collection of awful and chaotic events than a story. Incredible performances (if you can call them that) from Arielle Holmes and Buddy Duress. Highest recommendation.

This seems to be getting attention from my kids and their peers at the moment. I read the book when it was published and loved it. I seem to remember that the film was a bit of a disappointment and missed a lot of the humour in the book. I haven’t seen it in a long time so said i’d have to rewatch before letting my 14yo at it. What do you reckon?
Is it more of a straight up gore fest horror or is it more than that?
I think Cronenburg was supposed to be involved early days but it didn’t work out as far as i recall.
