Much better than the original which really fell off after the first few series
Binge watched over the weekend - loved it - best thing I’ve seen in months, get better with each episode. Show #7 probably the most tension filled 30 minutes of TV ever…
Love a bit of Adam Curtis
A show on BBC4 about the Bristol scene/the Wild Bunch right now
The Fire Within (amazing)
Cheers for the reminder!
Watched all seven episodes over the last few days, an amazing piece of work; grim, dark, shocking but enlightening… 10/10
Not started it yet, need to get on to it.
The Watcher on Netflix.
Don’t bother, several hrs of my life I won’t get back.
came here to say this - started out as enjoyable pap - ended up a train wreck of ridiculousness.
Finished that last night. Not one likeable character in the whole piece. Fun only as family viewing to pick apart. Quite telling that my 14yo daughter fell asleep in the last 10mins ![]()
Interesting the amount of debate this video has generated. Friends of the family coming out in support of Ms Gou saying the comments are misogynist and then those saying it’s just a terrible sight if you’re a clubber. It does make me sort of glad that this isn’t my vibe of clubbing.

P.S as we’re all lovers not fighters and misogyny doesn’t exist here if anyone does want to debate this let’s bear that in mind!! One day it’d be nice to have more women on board here : )
Not on Twitter so can’t read the comments, probably for the best by the sounds of it. What in a nutshell is so bad about it? Surely if you like her and her tracks she’s just messing about to one of her own, no worse than anyone lip-syncing a PA? If you don’t like her, don’t watch or go to her gigs, simple.
Enjoyed that, but I think Fire Of Love by Sara Dosa is the better of the two, and I’m a massive Herzog fan. Pretty weird having 2 docs on the same subject at the same time.
Ah thanks, I did vaguely recall that there was another one out there. It is strange, yes, especially as someone must have rights/control over the archive.
In general I stay away from male-only spaces because eventually they just degenerate into sexism / misogyny, but this forum never has. Props to everyone for that. (And yes I definitely wish there were more genders represented too).
Possibly covid played a part in them coming out within a few weeks of each other. Strange.
There’s a good doc by Herzog called Into the Inferno on Netflix which has some of the same footage.
I’ve just scrolled through a good few pages of comments under the vid. I didn’t see any that I thought were mysoginstic. There wasn’t any ‘even better if’ feedback about the performance which might have been more constructive but that might be asking too much from the Twitterati.
I reckon the comments would’ve been similar whatever the gender of the DJ, it seemed to be more focused on the phones in the crowd and the fact that she was the only one seemingly having any fun. Not my bag at all but what do i know?
I tend to agree. Scrolled the comments and same opinion. I reckon this would still be attracting the ‘it’s hell on Earth’ comments about the phones/vibes whoever was behind the decks. It’s depressing to think this is what constitutes a night out for some people but at least Peggy is having the last laugh as she probably got paid mega $$$$ for this.
Havent started this yet but looks worth a watch
