What are you watching?

We managed about 6 minutes. Too scared / grimmed out. Enjoy!

Lol gonna watch this tonight

It’s pretty relentless in its grimness. I’m on episode 3 and not entirely sure how I feel about it tbh. One episode in one sitting is more than enough.

Yeah, only one episode a night, too heavy for any more, I keep getting ready to bail on it if it gets too unbearable.
Just watched episode 6 which was told from the perspective of one the victims, a deaf guy who became a ‘friend’ & lover of Dahmer, the best episode yet imo.

Will definitely finish it. Episode 4 tomorrow as it’s the football tonight. The guy playing Dahmer is great, if you can say that. As with all these types of dramas based on real life, I’m just shocked how they got away with it all for so long. Racism and homophobia playing a big part of course.

The police incompetence, racism & homophobia in this case is inexcusable & infuriating, apparently one of the idiot cops who handed the 14yo kid back to Dahmer, instead of being sacked in disgrace, later became president of the police association ffs.

Yeah crazy. And then you see Stephen Port in the UK. How much has really changed?

Rings Of Power

I’m a big Tolkien fan and I’ve been looking forward to this since it was announced some years ago but its turning out to be a huge disappointment. Undoubtedly the most expensive looking TV ever but its just so dull. How can you f-k something like this up with that kind of source material. 5 out of 8 episodes down and still waiting for something to happen. The mooted 5 season arc looks extremely ambitious on this form

It’s a beautiful town, we had our wedding reception at the Old Course hotel overlooking the course. I’m not a great golfer but can hit a ball and we’re totally spoiled for it round here.

St Andrews is ace, we go there regularly for walks on the beach and/or an afternoon round the pubs and then the bus home. We are very lucky!

Wonderful! and don’t get me wrong, i’m a terrible golfer :joy: It really was the round of my life, and what a place to do it! :+1:

You had the round of your life at the Mecca of golf. Be as well retiring now, you’ve completed it mate!

ps. Bill Murray is here amongst others just now playing the Dunhill at the Old Course :grinning:

i have an inherent dislike for true crime type stuff but when i saw this i thought yep, this is exploitative and undoubtedly gnarly and it’s gotta bring pain to more than a few people.

“I find it so incredibly unnerving and psychotic that any filmmaker would feel compelled to recreate this moment. Like Rita Isbell was yelling at the monster who murdered her 19 year old brother. This is not a moment to recreate. This is so disrespectful and just inhumane”

right now, i’m just watching livestream videos from hurricane ian. there’s something kind of weirdly compelling about watching bonkers weather with no sound on - if you were there the wind ripping through the trees would probably be deafening but on the lil’ fixed cameras it’s hypnotic.

once in a while you see a cardboard box fly by or something. i hope those who could get out did, and i hope those who couldn’t are somewhere secure!

When we get high winds in the UK, I usually check in to a YT channel that broadcasts live take offs and landings from Heathrow.
