Loved this. Really got into it.
It’s a Julia Davis comedy that starts nice then turns like crazy. Only mentioned as someone said something about a program taking a turn.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but ‘the last dance’ series about the Chicago bulls was great. Had seen loads of people talking about it and I was sceptical, but it was really interesting. (And I could listen to scotty pippen’s voice all day long)

Fran is lovely in real life. Just as on the show–Anderson & Sheppard jacket, whiff of cigarette. Met her after a reading about a decade ago. Her books had been reissued in a set by Karl Lagerfeld’s press 7L (the shop is worth a visit if you’re in Paris) and I had somehow wrangled a cheap copy second hand. She wanted to know where I had got it, because clearly it had not been issued for the likes of me. We laughed and talked about Joseph Roth. Dream dinner guest.
