That’s definitely the next one of his I’m going to read.
Just started this, v good so far
Bought this and have been really enjoying it. Super inspiring.
Looks good. Interestingly, one of the clear markers for us humans, once we are but a mere strata in the rock, will be chicken bones.
…and Dog poo bags no doubt.
Hanging from trees
Also gotta say that against the prevailing sentiment I really enjoyed Secret DJ. There’s a place for light reading in everyone’s diet and even though his writing style is about as subtle as herpes he’s funny and occasionally quite profound. I did a little googles about his real identity and apparently he’s Tim Sheridan (?) with whom I am totally unfamiliar. I was going to find some sets online but I didn’t want it to taint my enjoyment of the book.
Can’t be him, the blurb says “The Secret DJ has written and produced many successful records and remixes”.
Though I suppose how successful something is is all in the eye of the beholder.
50 pages or so into this–wow, lovely writing! I’ve “surfed” maybe five times in my life (pretty much bit it each time) but this is one of those books that transcends its subject. Great recommendation.
This looks good:
Have ordered a copy.
I fancy that
Estimated reading time is only 2 minutes though. Guessing he didn’t get up to much
Yeah I’ve nearly finished it. It’s so good.
I’ve been reading Adults in the Room by former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis. A political memoir which reads like a thriller. Shows how little democratic power the citizens of EU nations have and the real political power mostly sits in the hand of unelected technocrats at the IMF, ECB and European Commission. Scary, scary stuff.
Glad you’re enjoying it !
Just started reading again after 3 months and read this in a couple of sittings. It’s really good. As much for the way it’s written as the story, which is like a grimy inner city boys own

He did another called The Sentence which is one sentence long. A reading of it here but if you can get a copy and read yourself it’s brilliant, like nothing else, and locks your head into its rhythm. For an appropriate musical metaphor description…like hearing an acid house record for the first time after being brought up on the top 40
Finished this one in an afternoon, it bangs!
