yes indeed!

Will see what I can do in the next few days. I need to find my phono to usb cable.

I knew I had Movement 98 but didn’t realise it was the raga versions until I stumbled across it today.

Looks like I need to give it a bit of a clean too looking at that photo

+1 here please if you dont mind

If? by If? (1991) (may have already been mentioned on here but not the easiest search). Don’t recall which mix it was. Michael Cook was playing somewhere in Shoreditch and he told me at the time but forgot about it for ages.

Many thanks!

Great stuff Bob.

Massive thanks mate

I never stop looking for a fairly simple drum track with cathedral bells over the top. It started with a 4/4 with fairly minimal bell(s) tolling and slowly built with echo, reverb, panning, effects, and overlapping bell resonance into a huge dubby psychedelic monster. Pretty sure it was a tuned cathedral bell melody but it may have just been one bell tone filtered and overlapped into chordal resonance. Very huge/dense but quite simple with little or no additional instrumentation. After the dubby cathedral crescendo it slowly unwound into simple tolling bells and a beat. Might have been a big drumroll during the build but otherwise a pretty simple chugger. I’m betting I got it on cd, probably in the 90s to mid-2000s but I could be wrong on that; definitely not from the last 10 or so years. In my head I associate it with Fat Dan’s Rub a Dub - Paper Issue 2 and Bumpin on the Underground - Scott Grooves but that might just be in my head. I would have thought it had the word “bells” in the title but i’ve searched and googled everything I can think of.

I think this probably isn’t what you mean, but it does fit the description, so there’s a small possibility it is,

no the one i’m after is more “cathedral-y.” For a second I was questioning if it was it and my memory was just all wrong but i’m positive it was some kind of church bell. Everytime I hear the intro to Black Sabbath I go back on a mental wild goose chase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lVdMbUx1_k

Is it this 10” by Illumination (Per Martinsen 1998)?

I’ve always loved it and how the drums build and roll and never quite break.
Surprised at how cheap it is, I feel it’s way better than the price suggests. But perhaps it’s just not something that can fit easily into a set.
