what’s the ADP story? Bought out? please say bought out
Yes, bought out by LVHM.
Bargain
…and neutered in the process.
I really liked the Adsum Reeboks I had couple of years ago.
They are available again and only £54 in the sale at End so I got another pair.
Need some gore tex trainers for the winter. Quite like some of the adidas terrex gear.
I bought a pair of these a couple of weeks ago, they’re GORE-TEX.
contemplating the same, tried these on yesterday, super light and seriously comfy. they come in low and mid variants too…
Gettem.
I’ve had a pair through winter and they’ve performed great. I’ve walked the dog in them in the bleakest of conditions. Incredibly comfortable and robust.
The Pegasus Trail have been such a hit for Nike. They’re already up to the 4th iteration in a short space of time. I need another pair. I’d go for the Gore-Tex, but they’re obviously less breathable, and I use them for running so the normal ones will do.
They’re great for walking in too. Not a fan of walking boots.
Need to get my head around this, I spend every winter squelching about
I’d missed your original post.
My missus just bought some Terrex for hiking. Possibly the Free Hiker 2. She regrets the purchase. Not comfortable at all. They look great though.
Another Nike shoe worth a look is the Mountain Fly Low. They did various Gore-Tex versions. They might be a bit thin on the ground, but worth a look around, as the Fly Low 2 has been out for several months.
They’re really heavy duty and the normal version I’ve got (not Gore-Tex) offers plenty of protection from the wet. They’ve got the energy-return metal plate in the sole that are in the Vaporfly etc. so a bit of spring in your step too.
They are good & waterproof but Ive had 2 x pai[rs that after 1 year / 2 years have cracked a bit
Each time Adidas Cust Serv have refunded & given me a discount code so basically I paid once 4 years ago & am on 3rd pair
My Asics running shoes are getting towards needing replacing, and looking at the Hoka range. Noticed that plenty of the “hipster types” are wearing them at the local Parkrun.
Hoka are an acquired taste. Definitely feel like you’re on stilts on some of them. I didn’t get along with them. I’m a big guy and wanted some nice cushioned shoes so my feet/knees wouldn’t desintegrate. My trainer/friend told me to check the Asics Novablast, the Nimbus or the New Balance 1080. I went with the New Balance because it’s prettier, thoguh a bit heavier than the Asics. The Nimbus was like walking on a cloud, and pretty too, but expensive.
I’ve got the old form / function bias going on = good running shoes can’t be good looking. Hence ASICS all the way. Probably nonsense.
