Weirdly I lived on the same housing estate as Tony Powell when I was a kid. I used to be playmates with his eldest daughter at primary school and I remember when they moved to America. Looking forward to seeing this!

In 1991 I went and saw Terminator 2 on the big screen with my Dad. Last night, 35 years later, I took my son to see it on the big screen. Nice

I went to see that film as well in '91 with my best mate from school, still, to this day, one of the best films I’ve ever seen at the pictures.
The young John Connor on the scrambler motorbike in the Public Enemy T Shirt was cool as fcuk.

Anyone else try to book London Film Festival tickets this week as a BFI member/early bird? Wtaf? "You are 43,258th in the queue ". Must have been a bot attack. Surely BFI doesn’t have that many members. Shame as some great films showing.

Saw Everybody Loves Bill Evans on Friday. Visually stunning, great score, stellar performances - highly recommended. Not bad for a first feature film on a shoestring budget. One for the cinema if you’re at all tempted.

Couple of Cineworld visits this weekend, Friday was raiders of the lost ark in 4dx, first time I’ve tried 4dx was great fun. IMAX last night for the oasis doc which was excellent, funny, emotional and the sound and visuals for the gig sequences in the IMAX was very impressive. Looking forward to the George Michael one coming to IMAX in November

I got the same message for Odyssey tickets when I clicked through the link about ten minutes after the email landed in my inbox. Just logged on the next day and no queue (although limited availability)

Not as a member but when additional Odyssey tickets got released a month ago I was in a queue before I could purchase.
Nowhere near that number though! Was about 500 odd people ahead of me and it went down rapidly.
Couple of things at BFI which might appeal to London crew. Eden is such a brilliant and bittersweet movie.

More home cinema than cinema but loved ‘Call My Agent! The Movie’ and also watched a beautiful Japanes / American film (very heartwarming) called Rental Family on Amazon. Loved that one… Apologies if I missed that somewhere else…
Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger. Nice to reminisce about and relive the comeback last year, and great to hear the tunes played loud in the cinema. Will be on Disney+ soon enough I’d imagine (it’s a Disney+/Hulu production).
Definitely worth a watch if you’re a fan, but not as good as the Supersonic documentary.
The Odyssey at the IMAX next week which I’m very much look forward to (two months after its release!)

I saw it too. Hoped it would have gone into the reasons behind the reconciliation but it didn’t go anywhere near. Guess its a private family matter after all. Enjoyed it though, its the emotion and joy of those gigs last summer condensed into two hours. The editing together of all the different Poznan moments was the highlight, summed up the chaos brilliantly
