I didn’t find it long at all. The IMAX kept it engaging and the bass rumble in the seats kept the numb bum at bay

His new film is equally unnerving and stunning.
Really enjoyed this, very entertaining. Seth Rogen appears to be in everything right now. Just four characters in one setting but it’s very well done.

Didn’t get around to watching it yet
Pasolini has always been sort of an academic interest of mine–fascinating character, artist in multiple formats, crucial in his political work–but somehow we had never gotten round to Salò. Not the best way to spend a Friday night, let me tell you.
The pacing is really something, you’re like a slowly-boiled lobster as things tighten up and move to the absolutely devastating ending. Apparently the filming was a real gas - practical jokes, big tubs of risotto (check out Olivia Lang’s “Silver Book” for an interesting take) and the nasty business was all created with editing. Anyway, it’s an event in that it will sort of shake you to the core. Took a couple days to get over it…

Finally got around to watching To Live and Die in LA after @Pulsatio7 posted the chase scene here. What a movie. Up there with Friedkin’s other greats.

Just watched Fellini’s Casanova, after reading The Silver Book you mentioned.
Loved it, very bizarre but fun and Sutherland is amazing in there. The set design, costumes and make up are really amazing. Can only recommend!
Not sure I can/want to handle Salò.. Everyone who talks about it says the same thing as you do.

Amziah King. Many films in one. Hypermodern and trying to be clever, but I didn’t mind it. Neo-western they say. Didn’t look right, however they filmed it.
