The Sun not only got 2 Ibiza clubs mixed up but also invented a film at Pikes that doesn’t exist…

Posting this here before they put it out in social media in case someone’s interested.

€125.
Each.
I’m just letting that sink in.

But can you really put a price on “a piece of musical history” ?

Hmm, seems all not lost in Ibiza… Looks like Man Power’s doing something interesting at Akasha. One to keep an eye on if you’re heading over this summer

I don’t disagree with TSDJ’s modus operandi of calling out shysters in the industry but there’s something about his shtick which doesn’t sit right with me. I cant help shake the feeling its all just a bitter tirade against folk who have wronged him in the past, rather than some sort of noble crusade for the scene.

I love Mark and Sarah for offering me gigs at Pikes but I never actually got paid in currency when I played for them (not necessarily their fault). I did however get paid in cash last year under this supposed new management, so go figure.

I dunno about all this. I know people involved at Pikes who are certainly not wrong 'uns

This is all a bit of an Ibiza-is-run-by-chancers non story if you ask me. Same as it ever was.

And linking to the Sun and Daily Mail? Arf!

Yeah, dunno what drives it really. Covid understandably left a big mark but can’t help wondering if it’s turned into a pretext to unleash other stuff? Never become the bitter expat. Life’s too short.

That said, many of the complaints about overcrowding last year were legit. It was chaos at times. The holding pen in the tennis court was a total buzz killer. There was a feeling that something had changed and there was no control on the door anymore. But then again I still had an amazing night when Harvey played.

as for Russ, I actually found him pretty rude to me in Sept but then I might’ve caught him at a bad moment. No idea what their beef is about

I think it may relate to an incident involving Alfredo, but I’m only reading between the lines of other things he has said and don’t know for certain. I like TSD, he is thoughtful and from everything I’ve ever heard a decent and kind bloke. I admire his willingness to call out wankers and chancers, which has not always happened enough in this thing of ours. Some of it maybe driven by personal beef as Joe says. But he’s certainty walked the walk and served his dues so he can speak with experience and some authority about bad practice and bad people.

The comments section is quite illuminating too.

His comments about Balearic DJ dads! I feel personally attacked! :grinning:
