Experimenting with things like that is a smart move, I found my sugar reduction gradually diminished my sweet tooth and stopped cravings for all sorts of unhealthy food. It’s only really when you exclude things from your diet that you realise how bad it is for you when you reintroduce it! You never notice otherwise, you just assume feeling like that is normal.

Crazy isn’t it? Imagine a pub chain where a pint was five times as strong. Also, :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

I knew Greggs coffee was underrated! Ive got an espresso machine so jus looked at the packet of Lavazza Im on at present, no way of measuring the amounts of caffeine. No drama as Im not really bothered but was surprised its not listed even as a rough guide.

Starbucks is just lukewarm coffee milkshake. Gross.

We’ve been taking cats claw for years, my Mrs for about 10 years and me since covid started, she stock up on this brand as well as getting the raw ingredients herself. We decided not to get vaccinated or get the kids vaccinated and we have only got the normal colds and sniffles you get every year…

I was prescribed that for knee pain and it works.

Lost both my Grandad and Dad to dementia, so it is something I am very aware of. Do try to read a lot, and also took up boxing last autumn. Aside from being a brilliant cardio workout, it is great for balance, co-ordination, reflexes and thinking. Would really recommend it.
Also do a lot of hiking now. Had a week’s walking holiday in Puglia, Italy last May. The feeling of doing a 10 mile walk everyday in the warm sunshine, followed by a guilt free pasta meal and a couple of glasses of red wine, then the ensuing deep sleep from being nicely fed and very tired, was amazing.

My osteopath put me on to turmeric, black pepper and ginger tablets these last few weeks as an aid to the work he was doing, definitely helping. I cant take ibuprofen and the natural anti inflammatory properties are really good.

Yeah definitely let me know how you get on. I’m going to start growing them in the next few weeks.

i made it through “dry january”. not really a new thing for me, i usually quit drinking at the beginning of the year and see how long i can go. i usually fall off mid-february but in some years have gone all the way to june. i’d love to believe that i can change my ways and become a somewhat casual social drinker again, but the unlikable reality probably indicates that i should stop entirely. we’ll see. i feel pretty good right now.

was hanging out with my ex a while back and she brought me some vitamins because i apparently can’t be trusted to do anything about my own health (not snarky, it’s somewhat true). so now i’ve been taking B12, D3 and some odd horsepill gel called “royal jelly”. 14 days and i can’t tell a difference but i hear it takes two months before the placebo effect really kicks in.

i turn 50 later on this year and i’m one of those people who likes landmarks so i’m hoping that by the time my late-summer birthday comes around i’ve got enough momentum with health and life changes that i’ll have some enthusiasm for the next 20 years or so.
