Think I’m gonna ditch my agentic AI prompt automation startup and become a Creatine Consultant
God I can’t stand his whole schtick and his editor needs a slap. ![]()
I’ve been on it for two weeks, not noticed anything if I’m honest, but maybe that isn’t the point.
No doubt he’ll have a financial interest in the Creatine bubble. Is he just the acceptable face of grift?
if you pay close attention there will be a small but not insignificant loss to your bank balance! ![]()
Not sure if this has been discussed in here already, but anyone into a schvitz / sweat and cold plunge? There’s a Russian sweatlodge here I get to when i can (which is rarely with raising twins), but it’s a surefire way to feel at peace and relaxed. I was introduced to it at the Russian//turkish baths in NYC.
one of the great pleasures of life!
How much do you guys pay for that? We have them popping up here but it’s so expensive.
$14 on weekdays and there’s no time limit. I spent three hours there yesterday.
Here it is $200 a session. It’s not busy as I am sure you can imagine.
Known as Cretins for short.
My gym isnt cheap ( the Dave - I am King Gary) but do have 3 saunas & a plunge pool
As inside I find plunge pool slighly itchy & cloudy but luckily they have a cold shower which I find more invigorating than plunge pool - running cold water over head
Quite often get brain freeze
Thats nuts! Its £16.50 for 50 minutes at our nearest place.
Checked out r/Creatine for some great info
Think I might stop taking it now. nsfw btw.
I’ve just had a slight re-balance of my diet over the last couple of weeks.
Cut out the carbs from breakfast and lunch (almost all were bread based…mmmm…bread…)
Started taking protein supplements (as a 50+ year old veggie, realised I wasn’t getting close to the protein needed)
And just eating evening meals as before (still quite carb heavy)
Result:
Started to lose some weight.
But more importantly, really notice the energy levels come up, better mood, don’t get the constant snack cravings (I find working a home a nightmare for snacking). Feel so much better for it.
And feels quite sustainable (although not keen on the taste of the protein supplements!)
I’ve switched to Surreal for breakfast. Almost zero sugar but relatively high in protein. And really tasty too.

This is my fave
My power breakfast is 1 piece of toast, horseradish ( the polish one is much more grated, less mayo) and 2 tins of sardines
not every day but if you have a bit late it fills you up so no big lunch
Last night I dreamed that we bought a rickety old house near the Royal Pavilion (you could literally see it from the end of our bed). It had loads of weird cobwebby corridors that went nowhere and doors that opened into the wrong rooms. There was a wobbly landing held up by scaffolding that had a vent in the floor that opened into the ceiling of the Theatre Royal, and electrical switches on the ceiling that said things like SEAL AND FUMIGATE BUILDING. There was a weird nook with an old TV that showed adverts from the 80s. A Dario-Argento-esque masterpiece.
Anyway, I’m trying magnesium supplements to help me sleep.
I find a good dose of Stilton produces similar results. ![]()
Hahaha, yeah I’ve had some mad dreams lately as well as I’m also trying magnesium to help me sleep.
I’m on magnesium citrate 3-1 and Ashgwanda before bed and I’ve had some very vivid dreams! Sometimes wake with a little bit of a ‘hangover’ though ![]()
