Fuck. Bet that feels good. Fair play.
That’s a great effort, well into new clothes space there. Well done mate
Congrats mate!
I’ve been on a similar trip. Over a stone lost in four weeks. Mounjaro 2.5mg, exercise, only eating between midday and 7pm, quit sugar in drinks.
Down to 193.2lbs. Have not been this weight for 10 years.
Mrs JC has lost 4lbs away from 3 stone in 8 weeks. Incredible.
That’s amazing. The benefits of intermittent fasting cannot be understated. I’ve been following a similar regime. I’ve cut out sugar too. Felt a real slump for a week or two, but I now have more energy than I’ve had in years.
Lost just over half a stone in around 6 weeks. I’m not on the Mounjaro yet, but have spoken to the doc about it.
Congrats!
It’s been a real game changer for me. Energy levels I’d say I’ve felt happier in general and less anxiety/intrusive thoughts/catastrophising thoughts and I’d actually say I’ve felt more energetic. Weirdly the first two weeks I stopped dreaming completely but that’s stopped (was a bit disconcerting, close eyes, wake up feeling)
Downside has been some pretty epically terrible constipation ![]()
Mounjaro has totally killed any desire to drink or eat shit which is brilliant for me as I tend to go in shitty work day/reward, rinse/repeat cycles…
Yeah I was a bit bunged up there for a while too
. Increasing my water intake helped.
I didn’t really notice until this week when I packed a shirt for my trip to San Diego that I’d been wearing open with a white tshirt underneath it and I could button it up with a bit of room to spare. That felt good.
I do no food after 7:30 and on Mondays I’m water only but the real game changer has been no sweets.
These jabs seem to be really effective and helping people hugely. My eldests boyfriend’s mum has lost 5 stone after years of up and down diet regimes and another fella I know has lost 6 stone and its really helped him get on top of his drinking, he was putting away 8-10 bottles of wine every weekend and a load of beers. Said it was like flicking a switch the first time he had it.
This will be of interest to some* on here

Instead of running a couple of times a week my new routine is once around the park every morning (2-3k) and then pull-ups at the little outdoor gym (started being able to do 3, did 21 yesterday). There’s a real simplicity to just doing it as part of getting up every day. Creatine first thing helps psychologically as once I’ve taken it I think ‘might as well use it’.
Feels good!
Maybe OK ar 2 - 3km but I found daily can take its toll on legs
Shin splints are a fckr & take months to go
Down to 189 lbs! Have not been this weight since probably 2007. Mounjaro and intermittent fasting plus exercise plus quitting bread, sugar and alcohol.
Mrs J_C and I are both really unhappy that being good is everything advocates say it is ![]()

Do you find that Mounjaro helps knocking the booze on the head much easier? Certainly been so in my case. Well, not completely, but no more than 3 or 4 units a week.
Definitely. There’s been a few beers in the fridge for probably 8 weeks or more. I fancy one very occasionally and then the thought just passes…and I don’t feel the need any longer…
Completely stopped all treats and full sugar drinks two weeks ago and definitely agree. Feeling pretty good and just say no when asked now, actually astonishing how many biccies etc you get through at work without thinking about it.
Got zero intention of cutting out booze mind you
I have the odd cold beer or wine through the summer which is pleasurable, and takes the edge of stress or extreme heat, but never feels problematic. Maybe excess sugar, weight. My missus’s Dad just had kidney failure and is seeing nephrologists in LA. Not sure how long he has tbh. A difficult time. He drank himself stupid over many decades. That generation of men born in the war who processed pain (in his case redundancy) in silence, not wanting to make a fuss. Am lucky, could never become an alcoholic because I have an inner brake that stops me getting pissed. Plenty of other vices but dodged that bullet.
I randomly looked at my alcohol free timeline last week, and it was lucky 7’s across the board
After watching that Super-agers programme, I have also now cut down to one cup of breakfast tea at 7am, then it’s green tea for the rest of the day.
What is happening to me??!!! ![]()
