Hello I was just wondering if anyone has any updates about how they got on with the Berberine supplement? I ordered some months ago and they’ve been sitting ever since. I’m a bit scared to try them tbh because of the side effects but my binge eating and sugar consumption is getting beyond a joke now. I just can’t even imagine a world in which food isn’t constantly on my mind and I’m always thinking about the next snack

I didn’t get on with it at all, made me feel very anxious and jittery

I had a mixed experience. I’m a type 1 diabetic and it certainly lowered my insulin needs and helped me lose a few pounds, but the accompaying nausea just wasnt worth it in the end. Shame. Probably worth giving it a go and seeing how you go. I didnt get any of the anxiety and jitters reported by J_C.

T1 here too. Couldn’t get on with it. Similar symptoms. Nausea and general malaise. Sticking with chromium for my weight loss and insulin resistance needs.

Yes but he defo dyes his barnet!

Does the chromium work? Been on it long?

Really does. I’ve been taking H&B Fat Metaboliser tablets for about a year. All they are is chromium and B vitamins. It’s been working a treat. My insulin resistance is right down. I probably need a third of what I was injecting before.

Wow! I’ll give them a try. Put a load of weight on over the last three or four years and trying to lose it again is proving very difficult. The fifties is a frustrating decade health-wise.

These ones?

It is. Muscle mass decreases significantly unless you are working out regularly. Not to mention the slowdown in metabolism and the reduction in bone density. Again, regular exercise can help with these immensely.

That’s true, Howler. I’m still riding my bike 7 or 8 hours a week but I think weights are probably more important now. Going to start lifting a bit and see how I go. My son’s down the gym all hours these days, so I might have to join him.

Yeah this. One of the guys I cycle with regularly is 57/58 now is still a monster on the bike and an absolute specimen. Lots of high intensity cycling and pilates along with weights for the aforementioned bone density. Use it or lose it…

Yep that’s them. I swim three times a week too and do weights twice a week. Use it or lose it indeed.

Honestly it’s a weird one, didn’t lost that much weight but definitely muscle mass. Was super moody as well but that’s because I was nauseous. Did one round and gave it the boot.

1600ml of Holy Basil I take every night and it’s working great. I used to take it late and Cats Claw in the morning but found it hard on the gut… Source a good Holy Basil and they come in 1600 ml capsules so one a day .

I felt positive benefits with the first container i had and was taking daily. Second round was a different brand and seemed to have little effect, so I just stopped taking it. I would definitely give it one more go using the first brand, as I think it was helpful for weight loss, but then again, so is cutting down on carbs and portion sizes!
