How’s the Perkons?

It’s great, it’s a real instrument. Doesn’t really do trad sounds. Great for drones and basslines

I have droooled over many YouTube videos. I was kinda hoping Erica would release a VST version of it.

I’m finding it’s both deep and fairly limited at the same time. If I go to it wanting 707/808/909 type sounds I’ll be disappointed, but if I open up to what it is it’s very inspiring. It’s ideal for Techno

So Friday evening neither of us remembered to get any tonic or anything, so we had 25ml neat. It’s definitely not very tasty neat, like a herbal cough medicine with a very peppery afterburn. Didn’t have any discernible effect other than maybe felt a little tired? Hard to tell we were in the pub straight afterwards!

Saturday night we made long drinks using 25ml together with some really nice Ginger Beer and lime. Very nice! Had two, felt quite woozy and a bit light headed, very relaxing!

Cheers. Might have to investigate.

Has anyone tried anything by these guys?

There’s a whole store devoted to Dry Drinking in Portsmouth, NH. The tequila was a surprise.

Has anyone got their Stoop on yet?

V nice, There is a dryer version too.

I shouldn’t hijack the thread, day off work, day drinking is the best.:black_heart: This is a full fat Guinness from Tullys bar in Waterford… Always great pint but has gone up 40c to €5.70 since last time I was here few months ago.

I’ve had it, tastes good, hard to tell if it does anything or if it’s psychological but it feels more of a treat than a regular AF beer. My wife gets AF selection boxes from Nirvana brewery which I rate.

Has anyone experienced headaches with Zero % Guinness?! Me and the good lady both had it almost instantly, still have the other two cans in the fridge :grimacing:

Yeah I have , not every time I drink it but definitely happened on a couple of occasions.

Very weird

Not us. It’s a favourite too.

We only ever have one though. My wife described my offer of a second one in the pub as “a bit senseless”. That’s stuck :joy:.

I haven’t looked too much into it but i imagine there’s a lot of sugar in it.
A freind in the trade commented that he felt like he’d had a pint after drinking one. I know what he means and I suppose it’s obvious but never really occurred to me that there’s a lot more going on than just alcohol in these drinks.

Talking of the black stuff, when we were up in town a few weeks ago, after a £70 hit in Phonica I fancied a pint, having heard good things about The Devonshire we decided to hit it up, 3.30 on a Thursday afternoon placed was rammed, bouncer on the door, ropes round a throng outside. Did one to the Toucan sharpish, bloody good pint in there, and practically empty. Bloody internet. :older_man: :facepunch: :cloud:
