Since my accident, been over 3 months without a drink, I know not much compared to others but it’s a huge achievement for me. I still get that Friday feeling after work though, as I’m sure many can relate, it’s when I’m most vulnerable.
A little spliff when I get home does the trick though. Hoping to keep it up until at least the Xmas hols.
Apologies if this sounds insufferable, but fine wine is a daily necessity for me. Cooking is another interest and form of relaxation, and my wife & I celebrate the end of each day together with a good meal and a wine pairing. We don’t even celebrate our anniversary etc but try to make time each day. Outside of the occasional gathering, our usage is very intentional. Never any more than the one shared bottle, and always with food. Unfortunately, some gastro issues have crept up so I’ve decided to cut out the wine for a few weeks to see if that is the root cause. Joining everyone here in sober-land.
Yeah good look, my Mrs had that problem and now has it completely sorted but had to change her diet and she was vegetarian for 30yrs Feel free to ask questions if need be…
We had some of the red when it launched last year. I can’t say it did anthing discernable amd it becomes quite medicinal if you have a lot. What is nicer is the new Black Sentia, which is lovely in a cocktail they make at Club Soda in Covent Garden
I felt slightly mischievous in conversation a couple of hours afterwards (maybe it is akin to marijuana). It does something for me and my friends.
That’s the end of my drinks review career…
I’m not safe to risk the darkness that alcohol swiftly invites.
The big Spanish breweries have been years ahead of the rest with their NA offerings. This was our local supermarket in 2019 - 23 varieties available. And yes, the Tostadas make a nice change.
