Original Balearic Mash Ups

This picture from Flying Records got me thinking about the original Balearic mash ups…

From the good… (can anyone hit me with a decent wav of this)…

To the (sorry R) bad…

And this one (famously the source for the Loaded beat)…

And this one which definitely sounds like all the drugs we were all taking at the time… It literally the sound of dancing round your mates bedroom doing the floaty dance…

Couldn’t find on YouTube - Marvin Gaye vs NWA.

I’ve posted this before, think it counts.

Sample rather than mash-up?

I think it’s the bonus beats from NWA ‘express yourself.’ They used it on everything then like the remix of ‘WFL’ by the happy Mondays.

Not sure if this counts as it doesn’t contain any of the Stones original (I don’t think), but it’s based around a loop from a Shep Pettibone remix of a Thompson Twins track, which itself samples Instant Funk’s “Got Your Mind Made Up”. Supposedly an Alfredo spin according to a Discogs comment.
