My daughter seems to do most of her homework on chatgbt. It’s hard to get your head around the impact AI is going to have on that generation and the enormous changes that are on the way.

I’m choosing not to put my head in the sand when it comes to AI. It’s here to stay and I think I’d be a fool to not try and understand, accept and utilise it on certain levels in my job.
My role is Sponsorship and Digital Marketing Manager for a community radio station. It will always require a human touch and an understanding of music and culture that AI can’t replicate. It requires the experience of having attended events stretching back 20-30 years, of fostered connections with people in the industry, of deep musical knowledge, of the human connection with the arts.
That’s not to say there aren’t other job types that even the current AI developments can’t replace. It’s going to become commonplace and that’s a tragedy in so many ways. I’m far from a wiz when it comes to emerging technologies ( I’m somebody who still scoffs internally at DJs who don’t play vinyl!) and I have friends working at the forefront of emerging tech who are streets ahead of me when it comes to discussing this topic.
All I know is that if you resist this time, you may very well find yourself in the rear view mirror, depending how fast things evolve (hint, they’re evolving scarily fast!).

I can’t say i’ve gone through this thread so my bad if its been brought up but im currently using chatGPT to write me a program/website based want list / list using the discogs API data.
The things Ive always wanted myself are;
- Searching my want list from lowest have/want meta data as these are my sort of buys, less, known, usually cheap, and not playing the obvious in sets.
- Show releases without audio on the listings (I buy a lot of blind buys)
- Automatically add items to my RSSfeed (instant notifcations the second listings go up, BTW i would NOT trust anyone like Discdogs.app or free wantlisters. Its free for reason, data scrapping your want lists, if its anything like, thats a jack pot for the sharks)
- Save your custom search features so you can go back to them
- General lots of customisation of searching and how the want list appears
- Save users & sellers in special list (for people you sometimes find wiht good collections you’d like browse)
- Custom tag releases, search by tag, place tags into folders etc etc
- Private but sharable lists for groups of users to collaborate on.
- The option of a private youtube playlist thats password protected or only URL can see it. (unlisted playlists can still be found on youtube)
Theres a bunch more stuff to add but should be kinda cool when done, could also work like absolute shit as its chatGPT coding it all haha. Either way costs me nothing and is all a bit of fun.

will do, the first prototype should be ready in under a week, which will be very basic version, giving me a sense of how it’s going to work, what place where etc. Generally final thing will be same layout as discogs but very stripped back, more text / data & customisable bits. Fingers crossed!
