Oooh you smell nice!

Ah fantastic. That’s a beauty. I recently acquired a sample of it myself. It’s on my ‘full bottle’ list. Lovely stuff.

I also have an fb of ‘sleight of fern’ which is a daily wear around this time of year. Lovely soft and spicy fougere.

It’s an interesting fragrance house. Tango is another winner. Great bottles too.

Oooh those sound lovely, need to try, fougere is another one for me.

Another friend was in town and he brought out a few things from Xyrena - another I had never heard of. The packaging is really something, the bottles are housed in VHS cases and themed after films. The tomato one below was incredible, perhaps not something I would wear, but it was an astounding 3D-like scent of tomato leaf and earth - extraordinary.

What a brilliant concept. Love the VHS cases they come in too. Punk perfumery indeed!

I’m half tempted to order a sample set.

They also do a candle that smells like Rush poppers . Relaxes the parts that other candles can’t reach!

Anyone want to smell like Studio 54?

Lovely new bottle for me

‘Hwyl Eau de Parfum
An intriguing fragrance with a hint of eccentricity. Reminiscent of a Hinoki forest, smoky notes descend into subtle spice and dark green, earthy accords.’

It’s lovely.

Reminds me of Kyoto by CdG a little too, which is similar to Hinoki (also CdG). Defintely think I prefer Hwyl though.

Cypress has a real masculine, aromatic kind of feel to it. One of my favourite notes.

Need to try some of the other Aesops.

Nice one. I’ve worn Marrakech Intense for years, it has that raw spicy hippie vibe but longevity is poor. Hope the L’Oréal buyout doesn’t ruin them.

I sent a mate a link to this thread, he was blown away with the chat…lol :green_heart: @Moodynann

The deal was sealed in August last year, so if you’ve bought recently, then you should be good.

The cynic in me wouldn’t be surprised if Aesop started releasing even more intense / extrait strength versions of their fragrances at a higher price, and the original formulations get weaker and eventually discontinued.

Perhaps I should start a ‘scent me’ service .

I decided to refill 3 of my wife’s fragrances from Le Labo for Christmas as it reminds of when we got together. Forgot how overpowered those stores are with the smell of Santal 33.

Been using the handwash for years, why does everything have to get sold off to these super conglomerates, hard to resist the cold hard cash I guess. Never ends well.

Looking forward to getting my annual Eau de Lynx Africa tomorrow, that unforgettable fragrance, with hints of drinking flat Carling on a wet Wednesday at Bernard Manning’s World Famous Embassy Club mixed with top notes of a regrettable rat burger at Kebab King later on.
Mmmmmmm.
Local ladies have been informed to form an orderly queue, :ok_hand:

Nice, a few on there for me to check out. I see we both got on the behemoth imperial extrait, can’t believe they made it even stronger!

I have to say I like it even more. Smoother and more rounded. Love it! Merry Christmas Rich.

I was going to order myself the Bois Imperial 100 ml the other day, but thought I’d wait until after Christmas.

… so I see I (might) need to buy the new version instead??

The original version is really great, and is the perfect signature scent I’d say.

The extrait dials up the richness, and is a little more ambery and smooth.

I love them both, but think I prefer the extrait. The original probably edges it in terms of versatility though.
