My friend here in Brazil actually was the creative director behind this. His name is Arthur Joly and he builds some great synths.

These guys have done a fantastic job doing the Korg stuff as free VST’s. Their Mono/Poly is very decent, and so is their Trident
Also, have a try of the Whispair.
Yeah they do some great synths. Unfortunately they no longer work on my mac.
That website tho…
Didn’t Aphew Twin once endorse one of their synths?
What kind of Mac do you have? M1? They have updated them all to work with Apple chips…
Ah brilliant!
Will check it out. I don’t have an M1, but when I installed them on my current Mac, instead of the UI, I just got blank boxes.
Has anyone used NI Massive X?
They were doing a cheap deal on the OG Massive and seeing as i’ve used it in some really old projects I thought i’d pick it up again. But I had a problem where it freezes when trying to save a sound/preset so after a week of NI trying to solve it they gave me a free copy of Massive X. This thing is a BEAST. Probably the biggest sounding VST i’ve heard. Makes some crazy noises. Looking forward to making some huge pads with it.
Good shout on Massive X, presets and expansion pack presets are good too. Latest Komplete updates don’t yet appear compatible with M series processors though, so no good for the latest Macs. I hope NI address this soon.
They are taking their sweet time, in the same way they are with VST3.
I hope they keep updating Massive. It’s missing some really obvious and essential features that really should have been there on release.
It’s coming soon.
hey test pressing community.
I realise this is probably a well guarded secret but where do people get their vocal samples from. I can never seem to find any decent ones. I’m really after like 80/90s meditation / affirmation e.g. free your mind etc. Are there big sample packs that people use for these or is it more just a case of scouring youtube until you find something decent.
thanks in advance,
scott
You can pick up some of this kind of stuff from old records like this one;
YouTube!
You could try freesound.org all sorts of stuff on there
The Conet Project
Anyone planning on any Black Friday purchases?
I picked up Arturia V Collection 9 for €149. I’m hoping VCV do a sale so I can pick up Rack Pro 2 for the VST version. After that I can safely say I don’t need any new synths or effects!
That’s a good price for Arturia V. I’m pretty happy with everything I’ve got for now. Would like to get Max at some point, but I’m just happy learning the bits I have and really going back to basics.
A good quality portable audio recorder is on the list, but probably not for a while.
Samples From Mars usually do a great Black Friday deal on all their samples. Really good drum samples - not dug into their synths so much as the amount of drums alone is a bit overwhelming.
Any VCV Rackers?
Instruo have just released another bunch of free hardware clones.
And ALM Busy Curcuits have dropped one too.
