One of my favourite sites on the internet
Thanks both!
I’ve got these, liking them having had multiple pairs of Cambridge audio previously.
Delays…
Anyone got any thoughts/experiences? I’m wanting tape echo/delay and currently the shopping list is:
Boss RE202
Boss RE20
Eventide Time Factor
Benidub Digital echo
Basically going to be using it as Mr Una here, no Condesa though and maybe a bit of production fiddling. Christmas is coming fast.
(My Vestax has send/return etc)
I can vouch for the Benidub, which is a lot of fun to use, and the analogue filters are
The RE202 looks good value but never tried before.
Yeah it’s hard being stuck so far from anywhere to demo them, I’m leaning towards the Benidub, although lack of stereo compared to the 202 is a minor niggle. But the Benidub has ‘Dub’ in the title, rather than being a ‘guitar pedal’ tho right, so must be better.
I was looking at the Benidub and the Boss RE-202 a while back. Check this out also:

But as ever do your own research.
I fancied the Strymon Volante but I opted for the OTO BIM in the end which isn’t really a tape style delay but still very nice
That looks great too, and way cheaper, hmmm…
Edit: Sorry forgot there was a dedicated thread for this.
There are more options open to you if you’re not bothered about MIDI sync
I got a benidub echo unit last week and it’s been great fun playing around with it. I’d recommend it, but I haven’t tried the boss pedals.
One thing to note is that if you’re using it for dub, they do a dub siren and echo in one unit, so this might save you buying both separately. It’s this:
could be interesting
That looks great, although I’ve been using my library of samples with the Digitakt for my dub siren needs along with vocals etc. Used to have a great Boss SE-70 which I flogged cause I was using it too much, kind of feel I’m going down that rabbit hole again!
I expect this is very decent, and price wise compared to the others I’d be tempted. Also, dont have a strymon delay but got the deco which i always find a use for. I’d say one of their delays would be a good option too.
I looked at that but no MIDI
Definitely a downside for the studio, might be handy for a DJ setup. Stereo, compact.
I’m absolutely rubbish at dialing in delays manually but i persist nonetheless with about 5 non-MIDI delays in my setup…
Made me laugh. I don’t know if that guy sitting there has anything to do with any of that but he looks defeated
That’s what it looks like round the back of my telly
When I utter the words “floor standing speakers” that’s the image that appears in my wife’s mind.
