Lisbon Recommendations – Tips & Places To Go

Been walking up hills and down hills and eating and drinking our way round. Wonderful city and so friendly :hugs:

Just reviving this topic as I’m off to Lisbon in a fortnight and need a little guidance. Some great recommendations so far and thanks in particular to @TheSlowMusicMovement for your suggestions. Am heading there with a few old mates and celebrating a 50th birthday, but we only have 48 hours in total. My mates are a bit more indie rock and a little less balearic but I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to the chance to get a bit wonky after some good food.

In short, and given the time constraints, where would you definitely recommend culture-wise, and where for a good night out? Any other recommendations over and above the already great list in this thread.

Thanks

PS. does anyone know the name of the place that does the best pasteis de nata and has been serving them longer than anywhere else? I read about it somewhere but can’t recall the name.

Don’t know the name of the place but it’s right next to the hotel I stayed in. Le Consulat. Praça de Luís de Camões 22.

Thanks @Nice2CU2CUNice and @elzorro - think you’ve both identified the same place, and, more importantly, the right place.

Manteigaria definitely edge it over Pasteis de Belem in my humble opinion. Had both on the same trip. There’s my tuppence worth.
