i came across this old blog post on Club UK recently

seems like somewhere that had a loyal following for a while judging by the comments. I worked in a hotel when I was 16-17 (around 95-96) and a group of some of the older staff would go up there once a month and loved it.

It ran in Wandsworth from '93-'96. It was ted central, but i absolutely fucking loved it. We’d travel down at least once a month for Final Frontier. Which had the best line-ups going at the time. Sven Vath, DJ Dag, Gayle San, Coxy, Weatherall, Jam & Spoon, Garnier, Hawtin, the Chems, DiY and plenty more. You were just guaranteed a great night with a bonkers crowd. Wekkenders across to Omen in Frankfurt, up to The Orbit and also Eurobeat 2000.

Listening back to some of the recordings these days, it all seems ridiculously fast, but at the time it was techno and ‘proper’ tramce all the way for me. I stopped going when it moved to The Complex, which was just a bit shit in comparison, but for a couple of years, it was just pure unadulterated tedonism

I seem to remember if you went to see the Word being recorded you got free entry afterwards as well

Pretty sure we saw Jeff Mills there once but I may have imagined that?

That sounds right but my memory is a little hazy for some reason.

I remember seeing Jeff Mills in the dance tent at Glastonbury in 96 I think it was.

Red hot weather and it was like watching a UFO landing.

I used to get the train into charing cross everyday to go to flying in soho and one morning I went into wh smiths to look at the magazines. While purusing the music journals I looked to my right and then double taked and then looked again it was Jeff mills no question about it he was looking at angling magazines and was wearing a big woollen full length black coat which I thought was weird for the middle of July. So I followed him out and he walked towards soho and went up st martins lane and straight into the st martins lane hotel. Think he was playing at the End that weekend. That’s my Jeff mills stalker story.
